Both are unique with their service.

    You shouldn't compare.

In this world there are many things that cannot be compared with others.

As you cannot compare Newton with Einstein. :)

Yahoo mail layout sucks and has too much bs and ads. Hotmail is slightly better, but not awesome either. Gmail is kind of inbetween. Decent, but ads and privacy issues. Use your own domain name and add an email. Check it with pop mail with mozilla thunderbird, no adds, no privacy issues, no problem. 10x better than the freebee's plus it is more professional and associated with your domain name.

Ads in Gmail? Adblock plus will do the trick. Also I think the ads in Gmail is not frustrating as Yahoo.

The problem with email clients as you recommend is that you cannot access your emails everywhere

Well for me I would rather be contacting clients with me @ mydomain .com rather than jim3578 @ yahoo .com Looks terribly unprofessional and discouraging. I can access my domain name email anywhere through my hosting control panel if necessary. A bit more logging in and details, but works. Use host control panel / web mail when out and about or email client when at home. Whatever works for you, I just don't think running a professional company with a gmail, yahoo, hotmail, or any national or worldly email address is the route to go. For fun and personal email whatever works for you.

No argument intended nhc1987 I was assuming this was about promoting an email and for me a business or professional email is the first thing that comes to mind. For personal email or fun email I would prefer hotmail since I've had one since their birth, and gmail for integrated gvoice.

Yahoo mail is better than Msn mail because Yahoo interface is easy to use and Yahoo provides better security than Msn :)

I'm using both. I love the MSN interface, but I have a lot of pending/delay email sending. So, my vote is for yahoo :)
