I do not think so. In fact it is totally wrong. The school where I am a teacher, has an website and people get that website by searching google, not from DMOZ. DMOZ is another service, which has nothing to do with your traffic by any mean.

Here I have seen threads about dmoz updates too. So I do not think that a common internet user goes to check dmoz for what he or she should surf/browse for his/her needful information. Is it so? No, not at all. From my view, dmoz's aim is also not to provide any traffic. So excpecting traffic because you are listed in dmoz is totally absurd idea.
