I did and downloaded "Gabfire Transcript" Theme from quite a few sites, but everywhere the same crap is uploaded. The files are not complate so widgets do not appear after installation. Even I tried to combine the files from various downloads but still something is missing.
Dude, its a shame that you complain about downloads not working, come on, go and buy the themes if you like them, they arent that expensive, and their authors spend a lot of time doing them.
Why the hell I feel shame, I am not stealing somebody's work. I will not remove the footer credit and will use the demo version only.
The themes are only $14 ! I don't see where there is a free version or demo version with footer links. http://www.gabfirethemes.com/ Where ever you are getting them from is probably not authorized and the files are probably loaded with scripts, links and malware. Seriously, $14? If you can 't do that, then you are really in the wrong business.
Somebody is offering me this theme with the only condition that I will not remove the footer credits which has his own link. He told me that he has developers pack and he has full rights to distribute the theme. I don't know if he is lying or telling me the truth. He has also offered me a licence for $10 in case I want to remove the footer credit.
Are you really sure he's using a legit developers pack? If he is, there is nothing wrong in that, I see
How do I know that whether his licence is legitimate or not? He is going to email me the theme pack in a day or two without licence (Demo Version as he calls it)
That's possible if he is truthful. But isn't it worth $14 to have your own license? Why would you pay $10 to him to remove the footer link, instead of just paying $14 to the theme designer for your own license?
Hey, I said its optional. I am getting the theme free with the footer credit. I won't mind purchasing the licence directly from original designer in future if I require it. Right now I just need the theme to set up my blog as I am moving from blogger to wordpress.
The developer sent me the folder containing theme. But what type of license is used in themes(Transcript). Is it a file, key or something else? And for what purpose it is used? I can install the theme without license also.
