Yes. He/they is the one/ones who need to be charged with treason. The word treason does not apply to Assange. Assange who facilitates the distribution of those documents for political purposes needs to be charged as an enemy combatant.

Small words. Fine. You compared the leaks that outed the names of Afghans aiding the US, to dissidents speaking out on China's human rights. I pointed out there is a difference between speaking out on human rights issues and aiding one side in a conflict. The difference was lost on you both times. I don't suspect pointing it out a third time has helped.

Right right. I get it. Everyone gets it. Any afghan, in your opinion, who supports the Democratically elected Karzai government is a traitor to Afghanistan. You'd probably support whatever side the US does not.

Personally, I think that is great. Cheer on the Taliban. Send Assange some money if you think he can further hamper US efforts to stabilize Afghanistan. It just highlights the fact we are at war and justifies the efforts to detain Assange. It isn't like his agenda, or yours, is unclear. It is just the he has acted on it and you haven't. I personally think you two(Helvetti and Bushranger too) should commit to the philosophy you espouse and head to Afghanistan to help bring down that government. If you are successful, perhaps you can join what will be a more radicalized Pakistan in bringing down India as well!

Right! The same accusation toothpic made earlier, equating the documents to exposing China like human rights violations within the US, except.... they haven't. The only thing that embarrasses the US about these documents is they show we are having a hard time keeping secrets, which makes it hard for us to carry on foreign policy at all levels. What Assange is really pushing for is total anarchy, but what he will actually accomplish is a more oppressive society, and you geniuses are cheering him on. What should we expect from people who cheer on the Taliban.

More Comedy. You should have been the chief prosecutor in US, then maybe you wouldn't bitch about how government employees have it better than you. ;)

Misquote. I said how government employees have it better than people doing the equivalent job in the private sector, and I'm not referring to a private sector employee who is discriminated against because he was born to a lower caste. In any event, I doubt I would ever take an unelected government job. It goes against the fiber of my being. Even the last government contract I worked on made me feel dirty.

Ya know there are more jobs at the US government other than cleaning public toilets, you know like killing people, bombing villages, abducting, torturing, bullying etc. I guess that goes with the "fiber of your being" ;)

Knowing who it is being bombed, abducted, killed, tortured, or bullied, I have to agree. Its why I pay my taxes. Its the same reason you send money to people like Assange.

I think who brings good for Afghanistan is serving for this country. we have to see consequences.
American also occupied Europe for a while and beside their troops remained there for long period but didn't hear people who worked with US army called traitor.

oh seems now I'm traitor to my country because such support of American! lol

How old are you? supporting something is very different than actively working for foreign government. Those people are called spies and traitors. A good example is English spies who were working for Russians because they believed Soviet system is better but they still were called spies and traitors.

We don't hear much from Biden on well, anything for the most part anymore. There's a reason for that. He tends to say what he's thinking, generally while three sheets to the wind.

Assanger is a programmer, a hacker (not in the traditional sense), but one none the less. He's also a pimp, and information hound. His only real crime (aside from being a serial rapist) is theft.

While it may sound cool to say he's only the messenger, doing what he did is no different than if someone stole a bunch of money from a bank and gave it to you. You may not have stolen it, but by taking possession of it, (instead of giving it back) and then "spending it", like he did when he posted the information - it's still theft.

He wrote some pretty cool stuff way back when. The first port scanner, and some neat encryption software that was aimed at saving people from (plausible deniability) being tortured for passwords.

His shenanigans have landed him in trouble on more than one occasion. He's kinda like David in "War Games". What he found to be innocent, challenging, and perhaps enlightening, turns out to be some pretty serious stuff that could have more serious repercussions.

Those responsible for stealing the data and those responsible for letting it happen are just as much to blame. Ultimately, he's not a messenger. He's a common ordinary thief.

an example! so you think who actively work for foreign govenment is a traitor!

how many Indians worked for English govenment during their reign in India? are they traitors?

read biografy of your leaders. for instance Mahatma Gandhi. I have good opinion about him.

Nope, one would think he had enough sense to blank those names, that's why its obvious his intentions were to aid the Taliban...

First of all I am not an Indian. Second your argument is very stupid as usual since your example is very different than actively working for foreign government. Third, I have no respect for Gandhi as a liberator of India, the only reason that English left India was because they learned from what was happening in rest of the area and were afraid of an Arm struggle specially since they had to train Indians as soldier during WWII and had to face experienced guerrilla fighters if they decided no to leave.

I think Gwonder has you beat in the stupid category. I'd not be too quick to apologize. He's Canadian and lives in his mom's basement. The avatar should be the first indication. All you have to do is read a couple of his posts to confirm; his gene pool has remained within the family for quite some time.

Mia should have clarified. He is Quebecois, a province of Canada which is trying to shed the evil and tyranical shackles of the Canadian Government. Of the Quebecois who can speak english, most refuse to of some sense of provincial pride. With so much hatred for their own country and their friendly neighbors to the south, I can only imagine how a non-french speaking Persian living in Montreal would be treated.

Babbak don't pay too much stock to that forum cowboy, I told you a while back that Iranians are just like the west, only they have a regime that don't want them to realize that. They have been brainwashed for years to hate the U.S, the truth is, Iranians are the Americans of the middle east. The only reason these trolls call you a traitor is because they cant believe that an Iranian don't share the same hate for the U.S as they do.
