I have just looked at the list of editor names and as far as I can see there is no capitalisation, so it would just flatten it to all be in small letters, but you can use those letters if you like. It might make the mozzie awards for most unpronounceable editor name interesting, if they continue to run them that is.
Lol... BTW thanks for your reply. I will try to apply. I am looking for colleges/universities category.
Hot tips Pick a category that has between 50 and 100 sites already listed INCLUDING sub categories. Be honest about any affiliations you might have with any other sites Ensure the sites you offer, you will need three, fit the category Ensure you spell the description correctly Check to see what should be the site titles, have a look at others in the category Check out how to describe a site and have a look at other descriptions in the category, though beware we have some poor descriptions floating about Think about why you want to be an editor especially in that category. Good luck
Thank you. I am till searching for such category of College/University where I can apply as I am new.
You are clever. By the way I have applied. and verified the application token id too. Let me see, your guidence takes me to which end.
Wow!!!!! Who says dmoz is slow? Dmoz is really fast. I have got rejected so quick. Got the rejected mail after 2 hours of application submission. But no comment why it is rejected. Anonymously, what should I do now?
I believe that the email you recieved contained a number of generic reasons as to why your application was rejected. You need to carefully read the email and work out which reason may apply to you. Sometimes the reviewing Meta will leave a specific comment. Unless the email specifically tells you not to try again, you are free to repeat the application, paying attention to what you think may have resulted in a rejection. I am not involved in Editor applications but I believe the most important aspect is disclosing all your affiliations and ensuring that you are 100% honest......
I have not built any website. Then how could I write that I have built? If to be an editor experience of of designing website is mandatory then either I would have to give up or I have to tell lie. That means rejecting my application dmoz termed me as not-honest!!
Strange they even bother to let people know... Though honestly, with how most editors feel about Digital Point, I'd suspect the real reason is nothing other then being a member here... but then, that's just speculation, which I guess is about as valid as any reason (including a generic email sent by the ODP itself). There is no true method of verifying honesty, in fact, there is no real method of determining which sites are owned by who as far as affiliations go. But even if there was, affiliations should NEVER EVER be a reason to no allow an editor in... what is the worst that could happen? They list 20,000 deeplinks that don't fit within the guidelines? Heh, according to AOL, that's MORE THEN OK, so I really don't see what the trouble with that is.
