Again this week from Thursday through Sunday (2010/12/23 to 2010/12/26) we will be paying out an Extra 3$ per joins on all programs.

no, i wont. its just many people are complaining about this. and am sure filesonic wants them to be happy too

 

For me the reason would simply be that on pps we can't see the download count (not easily anyway) so it's fun/needed to switch for a few hours/days now and then just to make sure the files are actually being downloaded (when sales are slow - you know).
24 hours would be better - maybe make it twice per week so we can switch for a short time just to check the situation, then go back to normal and stay there. (or show downloads to pps affiliates)

the are in filemanager (edit: sometimes!) but i can not generate links.
if i want to download these files - "file is deleted" ...

When we ask for promotion payment from Dec 16 to 19?

 

They are appearing once out of 5-10 refreshes of root directory. It seems to be a problem with ftp.eu.filesonic.com. I changed it to ftp.us.filesonic.com and 100% newly uploaded content is visible in manager.

Moderated forums will ban you for using auto-posters as it is a tool spammers frequently use. Unmoderated forums don't care. The trade off is that the moderated forums are generally the high traffic forums and the unmoderated forums are low traffic forums.

 

Yeha I kinda thought that might be the case - shame really but I totally see how the spammers would abuse it. Cheers mate

 

The better solution would be for FileSonic to make download counts available to PPS affiliates. The reason they do not do so is the drain on network resources which would accompany such a move. Perhaps this obstacle could be overcome in the future.

As far as switching over for a few hours to watch downloads, I would never recommend this to a PPS affiliate. It may be fun to watch until you lose three sales in 20 minutes. lol

The daily switch? Personally, I do not care what decision FileSonic makes, but from a practical standpoint, comparing daily totals of downloads and sales is hardly an effective means to evaluate whether PPS or PPD is best for you. You need to look at weekly, if not monthly, averages to gain a true perspective.

If I had to guess, FileSonic instituted 7 days because too many folk were opting for PPS on the weekend when sales peak and then switching to PPD Tuesday-Thursday when sales tend to be at their lowest. While not technically cheating, this is hardly a successful scheme for FileSonic to turn a blind eye toward. The trade off with the greater earnings of PPS is you accept the slow days and the big money days. It's not exactly fair from FileSonic's perspective for one to try to shift more of the risk on them, is it?
