Hey guys, I am the webmaster of a unique gaming forum called The Gamers World Forums. We are going to become a unique gaming forum that takes a more GAMER approach than a GAMING approach. We will be one of the only gaming forums to provide GAMER specific content that is specific to each type of GAMER, whether it be recreational GAMER, family GAMER, or professional GAMER. As we are a GAMER forum rather than a GAMING forum, we will also offer an even wider range of discussions including board games, party games, and even casino games. I've managed to recruit myself a few keen staff members who are doing all that they can to help make the forums ready to open to the public...setting up the forums, mods, threads & posts, etc. I'm still waiting on a graphics admin to help me out but I think that operation is currently under way. Anyway, the real reason I'm here is because I haven't got a clue how to search engine optimize. Meta tags, keywords, sitemaps, etc. mean nothing to me I'm afraid. Could someone please help me out. http://www.thegamersworld.co.uk Code (markup):
If you have no clue about SEO there are TONS of resources on the net..youll get much more from Google than asking people in a forum..
Sorry to break it to you but Google don't care much for forums unless there is not already a few forums in that niche. You would probably be better off building a larger gaming community where a forum is just one part of it.
What the hell? Whats the point in creating that long thread introducing what you are and where you are and what you do etc etc...
I think it's a poor attempt at SEO, making a keyword stuffed posting... Maybe I'm being unfair, but who writes like that?
Sorry guys. I've just set up VB SEO so that's going to help me by doing a lot of the search engine optimisation automatically for me. However, there is one problem I'm having. I'm currently using vBulletin Suite v4.0.4 but am unsure where I need to post my Google Analytics code. I read up on this and found that a lot of people posted it in the footer template. So I did this as well. However Google analytics is displaying an error on the google analytics website saying that "error, tracking unknown". It seems that Google analytics is failing to track my site. I've evidently posted the code in the wrong template or something. Could someone please help?
