Well I'm going to join the "unhappy Paypalers" club after all. I've had it coming people, just your ordinary sad panda joining the ranks. Now this isn't just a rant, I'm going to share some important information which may help some of you. I got my account limited while accessing from overseas, since PayPal has strict country-access limitations. They then made me upload a non-existant credit card to an account which I had verified using a bank account only - what I deemed to be sufficient at the time. So naturally, when I told them I couldn't "verify" my credit card for that, they requested I upload a Passport / Photo ID. Naturally I wasn't very happy with this and e-mailed them if I could wait till I got back to Australia to upload/fax it. They agreed that this was fine. So I decided to let it rest and enjoy the rest of my holiday. Problem was, they reversed two of my transactions to Namecheap. And namecheap has a $50 chargeback fee + the transaction cost itself. I also asked them to NOT reverse my transactions at any cost, even providing e-mail evidence that I was going to lose a fair chunk of cash if they did. And you've guessed it. They did it anyway. They reversed both my transactions. Now I've gotta ask a friend to pay for me $110 in 48 hours (god knows if he'll reply in time), all my domains going down the gutter, and another PayPal story good to go. Moral of the story kids, watch out when you access your account from overseas. There's no contact form from outside PayPal where you can e-mail them about your dilemma or what you're going to do until you log-in. UPDATE This has got to be the most hilarious reply given the context: "Thanks for contacting PayPal. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your questions. Because of the nature of your limitation we suspect someone is trying to use your financial resource to make purchases. The money is now back into your account safely because of our effort." Once again, shows they didn't even bother reading my explanation.
well, thats life, same here just lost $300 on my account and they said that i will wait for 180 days or call them back on january 31, 2011 definitely they are so ow ow ow TRASH scammers!! who will wait for that day? since when that time comes im sure they will still try to navigate the story.
@joseph waiting for 180 days seems to be nothing dude, you'll see that it'll be there within the blink of an eye, unless you lament over ur losses each and everyday, which'll make the days seem longer than ever.
