Guys, which of the two is better to work with blogs? Which one offers more tools for its users and which one gives a more "marketable" feel and look as layouts are concerned?

Oh my, another "x" versus "y" post.

It's fine but I can't understand at all while people limit their options to the most popular software/services/scripts/or whatever when there are more options that you can imagine.

Back to topic, blogger is marketable because most scripts and sites support the addition of feeds coming from this service.

Wordpress is best if you want to go by your own, since you have full control, not only in layout and features, but accesing your own webspace most of the times.

Like with other options, the best is whichever meets your criteria and specific needs.

btw, both have countless free layouts, matter to do a reaseach :)

i set up a wordpress blog and it was fairly easy. I also noticed that a couple articles already place in google for some keywords. You can also customize it.

I would say that WordPress is more flexible with respect to look and feel.
You can set different layouts for posts vs pages and you can also change
how you'd like the category listing page to look like plus your 404 error pages.

So, I would definitely go with WordPress.

A nice feature in WordPress is "Post Import" function. You can import your posts from different blogs using the WordPress Import tool. Another nice option is WordPress Widgets.

Word Press has/can not been blocked by any Government but blogger is easily possible to be blocked with a single order!

hmm.. nice point. As they recently did in India. Whatever the reason is, Google will have to add too many powerful features in the new Blogger Beta... then I might think to compare it with WordPress. But I'm sure that Blogger is not gonna beat WordPress.

And the people who talk about "embedding video problems in WordPress", just turn off the default Rich Text Editor and every video code will work fine.

But you can't edit the template, right? If someone wants to insert the adsense ads into his/her blog or customize it ,theres no way.
