Well I was about to register a domain which was having "paid" in the domain name.. I read in some of the forums and got to know that "paid" word may be a dangerous one to keep in the domain as far as the Google is concerned. Is that true ? Okay if you say Yes then, I actually came across a site www . nd-center .com which is absolutely ILLEGAL under any laws... because its a fake diploma website. But the site has PageRank 5 and more importanly ranks #5 for its keywords. I really dont understand the criteria of being an illegal site or getting banned by Google ! If that site is not Illegal then what is illegal ? (apart from child abusive or child porn sites) I think I should go with the domain that has "paid" in the domain name.. what say guys..
you may use "paid" (paid.---.com) as your sub domain name, so you do not need to register another new one. There are lots "paid .com" search results contain "paid"... who banned?? Rumor.........
It has no logical sense whatsoever to say that paid will get banned. And why do you say that fake diplomas is illegal, its not illegal everywhere, remember the world is more than the US.
the word "illegal" can depend on any content harmful to google - -illegal seo (where you keep hidden keywords on the page) -illegal click exchanges etc.
Ok, for me, illegal is when you risk getting a fine or going to jail. Like "not legal", Google cannot decide what is not legal (yet).
Nothing is illegal as it is called freedom of speach. You can get fake diplomas in shopping malls that sell novelty items. You can even make your own diploma about whatever you want. Any place that is going to hire someone has the right to do their due diligence to see if it is legit or not. Fake ID? It is the bars responsibility and decision to let you in or not right. You see lots of fake ID sites online so...
I don't think having the word paid as part of the domain can be harmful. Can't see a reason why it would be.
There are plenty of sites out there with "paid" in the domain name that still get listed in Google. Seriously, just google "paid" and see what comes up.
I can't see domains like prepaid.com, underpaid.com, getpaid.com being illegal just because of the paid keyword........am I missing something here?
