I dont like toolbars either, but id give googles a go if i was you. you can always uninstall it. Its got a decent pop up blocker too

I normally use page rank tool at iwebtool.com and seologs.com

 

download the toolbar, though sometimes it has weird results like a PR3 appears as PR0

so i use this site livepr.raketforskning.com

Can someone explain what a 'fake pagerank' is? I was going to buy a PR 5 domain that showed with PR 4 and PR 5 (since last update) but when I ran the fake Pagerank tool it said it could not be verified as real.

Could this be because there is no longer a site there and it is parked?
