nofollow in internal links?

    Hi,

I have read in a few places that using nofollow for internal pages is a good idea.
But, I have also seen a few blog entries that suggest that nofollow is a big waste of time.

My homepage contains +/-90 links to internal pages and a few more links to social networking sites.

What would be the best way to handle those links?
    normal links or use nofollow?

    Thanks

This is a question regarding SEO, not HTML & Website Design, no?

I never used nofollow tag in internal linkings...

Internally I think the nofollow tag is not a good idea, that's what I think.

I agree, but it is kind of a web design question as well :).

Do you have a limit/suggestion on the number of internal links?

The purpose of a "nofollow" is to prevent spammers or other less friendly internet crooks out there from following your links (especially email). It is also used to keep secured pages better secured, since the links to them cannot be followed. If you aren't concerned with security or internet pirates, then don't bother using it.

I don't think this is what nofollow is really used for ;).
It is more a tool for search engines, (Google originally).

Why do you say it is good?

Really? I thought my question was both SEO and HTML related.

Simply put, if you don't want search engines to index any linked pages on your website, include the nofollow tag in the link to that page. Alternatively, you can also use a robots.txt to achieve the same effect.

I read that Google not recommend use "nofollow" for internal links.
