1. Build a large facebook network 2. Update your status every day (more than once is better) 3. Wish birthdays to everybody in your network 4. Create a business page 5. Tag promotional photos 6. Change your relational status regularly (not ethical. you have to lie) 7. Attend multiple events 8. Import your blogpost 9. Join groups and post comments on popular groups 10. Start your own events
Sorry for such a greenhorn question, but can I post under my group or page on other boards/walls? And I'm assuming people seeing the similarities with my group/fan page it would give them an itch at wanting to join mine?
I am going to comment on this with my previous post in a topic just like this. Maybe it helps someone who didn't see it there... (following) OK, here's a little hint for you - when you think of Facebook bringing traffic, think about it in two ways: 1. What you can do on Facebook 2. What you can do on your website 1. You have all sorts of stuff you can do on FB to bring you traffic. People before me mentioned all that. What I do is I created a FB page for my website and I have an editor posting user relevant content there. Fb users click on it and it bring traffic. That and only that generated aroud 100 users daily, as you can see on the image below. 2. Ton of stuff you can do on your website, like using FB plugins (See: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins) On my webpage, we introduced a very simple community trick - vote for a favourite whatever. You can see an example here: http://www.ringeraja.rs/porodica-porodici-deca-glasanje Why and how is this working? For each post in there, you have FB likes. Consider it like a free promotion of your website, when people click on them. Their friends see it on their Home ... They want to join in ---> Traffic. I marked it clearly on the graph - the effect of this. With red arrow you have marked 1. November, when we launched that on the website. On 1 December we added another contest like that. And whoosh, difference is obvious? I hope this helped a little
If you want to keep your facebook and twitter account updated on same time, then you can link both the account with a facebook app.
Hmmm...what you are suggesting is like to actually update your facebook regulary so that you will always be visible to the wall of news feeds, right?
Sounds all like sensible information...but very time consuming! It is almost necessary to hire someone full time to keep all the updates up...own profile, keep adding new friends, update fb website page etc...etc
Yes, and we do have someone employed to do just that, but this is how it runs. 1. Content added to webpage 2. Same content flashed on FB page 3. RSS feed from webpage feeds Twitter 4. RSS feed from page feeds other RSS feed news/content pages Time consuming? No
Well, When put that way, I suppose it is not that time consuming But duplicated content does not have the same effect as fresh content...but in any case you just presented an intelligent way of maintaining multiple sites with minimal work. Cheers
OR, another solution that I was just working on last night: 1. Content added to Wordpress blog 2. Same content pasted to all your Social Network sites, using the Network Publisher plugin (See: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/network-publisher/) Hugs, cyberLana (sorry for dead link - I am not allowed to paste links just yet, due to forum policy)
Nice Tips, and about this "6. Change your relational status regularly (not ethical. you have to lie)", hahaha~
create alias of your page, must be attractive and paste it in the pages which you are following or a member.
You forgot one, if you friend the same people with 2 or 3 accounts, post a link(your site) and comment how great it is, the other (real) people will more than likely go there also!
