Is this fake or real? Hello, Congratulations on your continuing success with Google AdSense. The AdSense Optimization team is currently seeking high-potential site owners who are interested in working more closely with us. Our goal is to work closely with interested publishers to apply our best practices and implement optimized layouts for your pages. These techniques have proven to deliver increased revenue for both you and Google, while providing a better user experience for your visitors. I'd like to invite you into this program. Has anyone got any feedback on this, please?
thanks sixpack have sent off an email to Adsense asking if it was legit because the email came from adsense-pl [at] google will see what they reply, nowadays there are so many cons on the go that you never know
Dude if it is anything @google.com it is legit. Unless of course someone used the Google email even though it was fake. But emailing them should clear it up. I haven't got that yet
Any @google.com email address is legit; fools who try to spam and trick others with @googlemail.com and @gmail.com are not legit. G'luck and congratulations my main man!
OK, hold on and I'll send you an email from and ask you to click a link and log in to your account. Don't be worried, it's legit because it came from @google.com. It's not that black and white. Depends on what they ask you to do. if you have to reply, then it seems legit. If you have to click something, it could well be dodgy.
it mentioned this If you're interested in participating in this program, please reply to this email so that I can begin creating a new Google ad layout for your site. As this program is only available by invitation to a limited number of publishers, ........... will await the reply asking whether it was legit thanks it seems all quite interesting
They do send emails for this. One good thing about this is that it can be an "in" for getting invites to some beta tests and special features that regular publishers don't have access to.
Got this one about two months ago. I deleted it. There's just something about letting Adsense get even further into your bizness that unsettles me...
OK .. received a reply from Google .. it is legit Hello ****, Thank you for your email. I'm happy to let you know that the email you received was a real invitation to join the Google AdSense Optimization program. the strange thing is that I am in the middle of a whole site redesign. @jack .. I know where you coming from but to delete something without listening to what they say would be foolhardy, as I am sure I could maybe learn a little more from people who may just know a little more than I do, even if it is not for Adsense use. I have been trying to balance my own Adclients with Adsense, so a little assistance from Google should benefit
You can send an email from . But you can not ask the user to reply to that email, can you? Anything that ask you to reply to is going to be legit. The spammers are nto going to have a google.com ID for sure. Yes, I too received the same mail couple of months back. Replied and they give me optimization tips, with screenshots showing areas to add the ads. I was asked not to disclose the details in public, so I am not going in deep. But to be frank, it was not totally different from what i was already doing. Tips didnt make much of a difference to the bottom line
nothing really exciting from what was presented, however hopefully it leads to something further cheers
Tell us what was presented dude, what did they do to your site? and how did it help? Details please Would love to know IT
In all honesty there was nothing newer than what is already presented on these forums Skyscraper 160x600 Large rectangle 336x280 there were no ground breaking aspects which have not been mentioned on DigiPoint I am currently redesigning the template layout for my site in any case and was going to add the 120x600 skyscraper but for use with another company who would pay for impressions. With such an inclusion you could land up with real trash anyway, so I may in all likelihood avoid that and give Adsense a go. was also attempting to bring in the rectangle of 300x250 without destroying the layout which overall is being increased from 800 pixels to 940 pixels (centered) the site is not aimed at Adsense but has high quality content, trying to blend everything without annoying the users is the biggest concern, hence the new design. What I do hope to achieve by working through the optimisation is maybe a better payout with higher quality Adword clients being placed on the site. I currently try to block anyone who pays under .10 cents and allow those who are between 6 and 10 cents if what they have is of value to the site users. Having received this invite will hopefully have a good effect. ps.. do note it is mentioned you shouldnt discuss what takes place, so I am not trying to be vague and have answered in the best way without complications
Too bad it didn't turn into something more. Those half rectangle ads are nice though. CTR and eCPM jumps when I use those as opposed to banner formats.
