    PHP:
these site has a blog, user profile system, forum, sms and lots more.... I was wondering is there based on some CMS or is it custom made.. ?

Also, any WordPress expert here who can share some light on this. Would WordPress support such kinda website.. I mean which so many posts and forums and extended profiles, friends, everything?

Those sites can be made with any one of the top CMS's..Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and many others.
It's not the CMS because there are no special functions there that are out of the ordinary.
    It's the layout and design.

Those are not built with a CMS its asp. But like everyone is saying with some work any CMS can do the same as those websites.

Yes after everyones reply.. i feel a CMS can handle all this.. but the only problem I am facing using WordPress is handling user registrations and forums!!! i have tried many plugins but all in vain..

To add a forum to WordPress, check out bbpress.org, it's made by the same people.

I will suggest to use joomla for that it will be quite ok and prefect for those websites that you listed.
