Meta tags aren't worth your time anymore, one of the few things similar though is alt tags for images, optimize those with keywords and it will help. Feel free to fill in your meta tags, but don't waste too much time on it.
Meta tags consist of title tags, meta description & meta keywords. It helps to know more about the pages. If we are using targeted keywords in the meta tags then it is very useful to get ranking...

Not entirely true. The meta description is the only meta tag left that is really useful. The title tag is another story of course. With meta description, you can use them a sales pitch to attract visitors and increase your CTR.
Yeah, I don't waste too much time with metatags, they aren't that important compared to other more essential factors for good SEO. sofieseo has it right though, title tag is much more important, as are keywords in your body text of your website. And according to IBP, optimizing image alt tags is also a pretty important factor. However, sofieseo says the description tag is the second most important, whereas in my experience it isnt really, and I would rank it as only "moderately important."
SEO has the three main key components. Title Tag, Meta Keywords and Meta Description. Robots Meta tag which is useful when you don't want search engines to index or scan the content of a page. Be sure in using different meta tags on every page.
i have only one suggestion for you use keyword that matched or related with your site or site constant also make site map for google spider
meta tags are useful because thats what a user sees when your site comes up in a search..as far as seo it doesnt hold alot of weight
Your title tag, Meta Keyword and Meta Description are the big three components you need to worry about. (The robots tag should be handled in your .htaccess, in my opinion.) I always make sure my keyword is in my title tag and something like my keyword is in my meta description. For example, say the title of one of my pages is "Dog Training Tips: The Three Things You Need to Know", I'd make sure the description was something akin to "Most dog owners don't realize that your companion needs more than just a bowl of food. So treat man's best friend right and check out these tips to help with training your do!" while making sure both were within the character limit. On another note, I've seen posts about how Google doesn't use or pay attention to most Meta tags (keyword included), but other search engines do. So don't write them off just yet.
