    Hey everyone,

My names William Tha Great, and I'm here from Houston, Texas.

I am fairly new to blogging, but one thing I know for sure is search engines play a major roll in your overall success. Most people will let you know most of their traffic comes from search engines. Search engines give you top quality traffic. People will be looking just for what you are providing.

When I ask around and read blog post the two ways I hear that boost your search engine results are the following.

    1. Keyword Research/Density

    2. Incoming Back Links

I'm pretty clear how those two work in boosting your search engine ranking. My question to you is what are other ways to boost your search engine results? I know there has to be many ways. What has worked well for you?

    I would love to know! ( :

    God bless,

    Hey,

That is what I'm working on doing, just trying to build as many high quality back links as possible. Anyone else have any good ideas for a new blogger starting out with search engines? I hope to have a lot of search engine traffic in the future sometime.

    Thanks for comments!

    God bless,

    Hey,

    Thanks for the comment.

I have never really takin the time to social bookmark my link. Idk I just feel as if it would help, but it seems like a lot of work. I might be completely wrong though.

    God bless,

Build backlinks through forums, get your site listed in as many directories as you can and do comments regularly on another blogs. You must keep doing these things regularly to keep getting traffic . You may need to do marketing of your website too through social media as its getting the best way to get traffic.

    Hey,

Thanks for the commet! Much appreciated.

Great advice I agree with all your points I know that building back links to your site is the best way to go in boosting your search engine rank and search engine traffic. How do you list your site in search engine directories? And your site doesn't atomatically get indexed by all the diferent search engines?

    Thanks again!

    God bless,

There are a ton of ways to bring traffic to your website (or blog in this case.) I'll try to list them in terms of how effective they are in general and split the categories up appropriately.

    Free solutions:
    1. Social Bookmarking (Slashdot, Yahoo Buzz, del.icio.us)
    2. Manual Blog commenting
    3. Forum signature links
    4. Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace)

    Paid solutions:
    1. Article marketing
    2. PPC/PPV advertising (Adwords, Yahoo Ads, etc.)
    3. Directory Submission (There are free directories, but it's rare to find one that has an approval wait time of less than a few years without paying and without a reciprocal link.)

    Hey Sam,

Thank you for taking the time to comment! Much appreciated.

Which methods seem to be working the best for you? Currently I do all of the free solutions except for social bookmarking. I'm currently a active member of quite a few forums. They seem to show some positive results though at first I thought they were a waist of time. Now I know for sure participating on different forums was not a waist of time at all but a smart decision.

    Thanks again.

    Wish you the best!

    God bless,

I would say that social bookmarking sites are good for getting indexed and if you have a big community, you can easily climb up the ranks and receive more publicity for your website.

    Hey,

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Which social bookmarking sites do you think would be good ones to start out with. If my site is new should ivstart social bookmarking nowvor should I wait till my community gets bigger because it is growing pretty fast. Well at least in my opinion it is compared to the first blog I tried to make.

    Thanks again for the info.

    God bless,

William, nice to see a new blogger :)
I'd advise to pay a little attention to on-page SEO too. Create more catchy posts, inter-link your pages, make use of title/description tags etc... You can't make it with off-page alone.

As for off-page SEO, I'd recommend social bookmarking, article submissions (One article a week to 5 directories is enough), a couple of press release, high PR forum profiles and blog commenting. Seems like a lot of work? It is.
But distribute your tasks in a convenient way...
    Monday: Comment to 10 blogs
Tuesday: create 5-10 forum profiles with link to your site in signature
    .
    .
    and so on.

    Just my two cents :)
    Cheers,
    Sarim.

big one is to put the keyword into your URL. Google puts loads of importance on this.

Also get the all in one seo plugin for wordpress (assuming you are using this for your blog) and fill in the relevant fields. Powerful stuff

Posting uniqe content will give you the unique traffic from search engines. When you have unique contents people will give you backlink automatically and this theory has worked well so far for me.

I have witnessed this too! Are you sure that Keyword in the URL is an important factor for Google? I did notice it being important for Bing but wasnt sure about Google.
