I personally think that this religion is the right one. And if it isn't, then they still have the coolest outfits.
Yeah, but you have to see it from our point of view. Let's say that I tell you that my cat is the son of God who has been reincarnated. I think that I secretly know the truth and that you will be very, very sorry when my cat takes me to heaven and leaves you behind. You don't believe me. In fact, you know it's absolute crap. You decide to disregard it completely. You probably even discredit it, and if I go on about it enough you might get annoyed and put it down. It's still my truth whether or not you believe it... Who says your truth has any more grounds for belief in my eyes?
Here's the difference. Take a run through this section. I'll guarantee you that every thread wondering "is there a god?" are started by people who do not believe in God and just want to start an argument. conversely, I don't see any threads started by christians demanding you believe in god and making fun of you if you don't.
Their busy banging on people's doors or telling their friends how bad they feel they're going to hell.
yep. that's what they're (check your spelling or learn to ... either way) doin' just that, yo. You figured it all out
The religious right is busy right now trying to get abortion and pornography outlawed. I haven't done the research but am willing to bet they played a big part in all of the gambling restrictions as well. There's no denying the religious right's desire to govern our lives one stupid law at a time.
It's funny how you can group different organisations together in the one statement. I can undertand how you rub people up the wrong way so often.
Since "Most Americans (78%) continue to view the Bible as the word of God" of course it's not surprising that the majority of them want more religion in school and government. Like i said... very dangerous people
Quite possibly, but this is the first of them I have ever participated in. No, but this very thread was started by a christian announcing that his religion is "the truth" My point (if you stopped to take note) is that it might be the truth for him, but it sure as hell ain't for me. I go on to say that everyone is entitled to their own truth - but you have to stop and consider the fact that those of us that don't believe have as much right to that belief as you have to yours. Nope - you haven't demonstrated a difference.
As long as you freely admit you are scared of 78% of americans. I think that says it all right there, doesn't it, yo?
Ughhhhh... shut up yo-yo, you are making Athiests look like morons. Please, everyone, do not think of yo-yo as a good example of an athiest. yo-yo is what happens when the government subsidizes Internet access for children with Tourette Syndrome.
