No. PageRank is not dead -- and PageRank is not everything. We have well over 200 factors in our algorithms, so while PageRank is involved, it's by far not the only thing. As I mentioned above, we continuously update our internal PageRank, and for the time being we'll continue to update the Toolbar PageRank occasionally. Well, so they say... but they couldn't have done an update since April (not counting whatever people are claiming as a minor "update" at random time since then)? The occasions seem to be stretching out infinitely...
Please some moderator close this thread. It's just bullshit all over this topic. PR is not dead. END.
Google pagerank is not dead yet and still updating for websites regularly. You should aware there is a huge gap between each pagerank level. There is different even among the same pagerank level. If your website has pagerank 3 you will never know if your website got pagerank 3 at 3.00001 or 3.99999. This is why I tell you pagerank does update regularly but not public evidently.
My website only PR 1 but i'm the number one for a lot of competitive keyword. What's more important? PR or traffic ? you decide
Someone, don't get it wrong, surely Pagerank is far from dead! I got the question it means that whether the PR number(1~10) is dead. Google not Update website PR number anymore(for me, at least for some sites PR is 0, 1, 2 or 3 and Alexa is not so good) dunno, whatever, i think that's sth like that ...
One of my sites went live in May, so haven’t had a PR update, there are many arguments about the value of Page rank, but I guess it still has some value, it would be nice to see a result of my efforts when and if the update eventually happens. Patience …. Patience
I don't care about PR so much. A good position in SERP is what really matters for your website traffic. Just my personal opinion!
