I've done it a few times, when I've had to move hosts myself or when my host has moved servers & datacenters. It will make no difference to your pr at all.

Your page rank will stay same :) though your serp positions will go down for some time but once google bots will again crawl your site on new server your site will be back on track :)

if I am not wrong you can try to short the dns propagation times to speed up the process

PR is tied to the domain name and its pages, not the nameservers/IP/etc and so on...

Just ensure that you dont have huge downtime (weeks, months) when you move sites.

page rank is the value of your domain . if you do not change your domain , your page rank will not change

Nonsense. It won't affect either your PageRank or your SE rankings. Spiders follow and index URLs/domains. As long your domain name stays the same, nothing will be affected.

Actually I don't know if its all nonsense, because google does mention something about google crawling a site after an ip has changed.

They say, that google will find the new ip.

So maybe, the rankings could change temporarily.

I guess google would no for sure.

I have changed servers/hosts several times. I have assisted several others to do the same. I've never seen even a blip in either PR or SE rankings when the domain/URL remained unchanged.

To change hosting with no issues.

    1. Leave site on current server.

    2. Load copy of website on new server.

    3. Go to domain registar and change DNS settings.

    4. Wait till domain propogates.

    5. Pull old site off server / hosting.

    All done

You need to see an optimitrist then...Read the OP

Following the steps I lined out to help will ensure no loss of rankings or PR

Now as an enlightened chap as you purport to be you could have said yes those steps are correct and will ensure no loss of rankings & PR

However your continual harrassment of me led you to be a fargong icehole again,

I now know why you are no longer a shrink / quack

Iinstead of helping people by explaining the proper methods.... you like to tell others they are wrong and have a very condescending attitude while doing so

Never once do you offer help... you simply state you have done blah & blah and therefore you have to be right...

    Guess what...

Your wrong like a three dollar bill, and two bit hooker :p
