what are the Meta Tags is there?

What are the meta tags is there? Which are the meta tags should necessary for the website?. Normally, we are adding the following three tags only.

<meta name=”keywords” content=”computer, technical, free, help, support”/>
<meta name=”description” content=”2 lines description about your content.”/>
<meta name=”ROBOTS” content=”attributes”/>

Let me know, if we want to include, any other Meta tags, Yes means, should it help for SEO purpose?.

you can add more meta tags but i think these 3 tags are more than enough from seo point of view.

actually,meta keyword and robots won't help for SEO purpose
without meta robots google still crawl your site, but you can use meta robots no not index your site with NOINDEX

only meta description is important

In Meta tag Three main portion

(1) Meta Title -
(2) Meta Description -
(3) Meta Keywords

Meta title tag limit including space 65-70 Character
Meta Des. tag limit including space 235 Character

(3) Meta Keywords are Really important for all page so just create all page meta related to this.

 

That's pretty much where I am, too. Of those three, probably only "Description" is important. But it takes so little time to add the others, I always do it, just in case they add some very minor value. I also add an "Author" meta tag. I'm sure it doesn't do anything for SEO. But I just like having my name in the code as the author of each page for the record.

 

Title is not actually a Meta Tag but worth considering here.

Besides what you have mentioned, only meta description tag is valuable. Favor to use robots tag only if you want to restrict something.

 

Buddy, title tag is not come under meta tag. And rest of thinks accepted...

 

Exactly, if you want to see your name in the search results means, then you can add "Meta Author" name.
