Why I think my religion is the right one.

Theres so many arguements about whos got the right religion, and arguements that no religion is the right one.

But what I have is not a religion, its the truth, and I'm going to support my "religion" with fact. Can you do the same?

What other religion but christianity has had so many accurate historical accounts, like Flavious Josephus (A roman historian who recorded Jesus' existance)? What other religion has hinted towards mathmatically variables that we use commonly today? Like the approx. value of pi?
But besides historical accuracy and mathmetical proximity, what else does my bible have that yours doesn't?

Well it has prophecies being fullfilled all the time, even today, like Israel being repopulated:
All together, theres about 10 that are being fulfilled today, and a couple more to go. I'll list another one, the partitioning of Israel by other nations:
Others include Jesus' coming, and you can calculate the probability of those prophecies being fullfiled, especially those about Israel. Pretty big numbers eh?

Looking at the big picture, you can't say everything is by concidence.. err.. you could, but that would be foolish wouldn't it? ;)

Just when I thought I'd seen the dumbest thread ever, you post this.

Sometimes I wonder about DP. I will say the dumbest threads I have ever seen have all been here. That's a distinction not many forums would vie for.

Fortunately, they're mostly confined to General Chat. However, occasionally, like this time, a title catches my eye while I'm browsing New Posts. I do wish there were a way to ignore certain forums - I'd put the whole General Chat section on Ignore.

As much as I can, religion and government issues are among the things I don't like to talk about.

I respect all beliefs and all governments, however I would like to express a point of view that might not be shared for many people, except those who see beyond fanatism or close-mind ideals.

I could say the best religion is a mix of eclectic beliefs that live in harmony with all the existing religions: the best of the best of each one.

    Peace :)

It scares the hell out of me that anyone would post a thread saying that his/her religion is the 'right one' and the 'truth'.

Your truth is one that I'm just not interested in.

Christianity is the religion with the most flaws. :p It is divided into different sectors because there are so many flaws that you can find in it.

Every religion has been interpreted and basterdized by man in an effort for power and control. I believe those that will be rewarded are those that take the best of their religion, whatever it may be, and live an honest life. Those that abuse their religion to justify killing, abuse, etc. will surely de damned.

If anyone that commits crimes in the name of a religion ends up in heaven then that's not a place I want to be or a God I want to pray to.

My 'truth' is to do unto others as I would have done to myself.

I don't personally subscribe to any religion.

I respect the choices of those that do, although the tendency of many to follow with blind faith scares me.

What I don't respect is people who think their 'truth' is better than that of anyone else.

You might be surprised the Bible makes it very clear about who and who is not going to heaven.

Ummm... you just quoted the books of Kings, Ezekiel, and Joel.

Those books are common to Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Mormons.

That's not a great way to differentiate your religion from other major religions. :D
