Hostgator the best host?

    Yo DP!

I am trying to find a good host and looking at VPS options. I hear godaddy, networksolutions, and some others are sub-par because they do not provide a fully manageable c-panel.

Any hosting wizes that have some good suggestions on a host? Right now, it seems hostgator seems to be the most viable.

PS. I have a lot of traffic...so don't recommend any shared-hosting plans. Our company site would break them!

If you are looking for VPS or Dedicated Server to suit you then there are plenty options. A well known for a good is Rackspace, Inmotion, Hostgator.

No Godaddy, they are notorious for problems. Hostgator is good with great support... which is important if things start going side ways.

I assume that you need to widen your search in order to get a clear picture of the companies that can meet your needs.

If you are ready to pay for the quality then I do not see the reason why you could not to choose Hostgator. Once I tried other host that was in reason for saving money ... but still if I would have money to spend on mentioned company I would definitely do it! Best luck with your choice! ;)

Dedicated server from big companies is your only choice. Lunarpages is ok.

You might want to consider VPS.net, or DomainWink.

When did Bluehost start offering VPS hosting?

    Hmmmn!

    VPS is Virtual Private Server.

    VPN is Virtual Private Network.

They are two very different things.

As far as I know Bluehost only offers shared web hosting. And from my own experience it was a low quality host with many problems. I wouldn't recommend them.

I meant VPS not VPN....even though I did it TWICE!!

Bluehost does indeed only offer shared.....which is what I said in my post.

As for quality, for a shared host, I have never found one better than Bluehost. Easily the best customer service and support.
