I have a clickbank vendor account and the stats in clickbank don't seem to correspond
with google analytics. Is there a lag in analytics?
What do you think of google analytics accuracy? thanks

I wouldn't bet much that Google Analytics is indeed 100% accurate. Again, it all comes down to how the tracker tracks the visitors, visits, bounces, etc.. I only use Google Analytics to at least give me the almost accurate statistical data of my website so that I could figure out how it performs in the search engines based on mere percentages. I wouldn't rely on solid numbers.

I also can't say if Google Analytics is really 100% accurate. Though I admit I usually base my site's performance on this tool because there's no other tool can provide the same free web analytics report as what it provides to webmaster.

    Hi
No tracking tool is 100% accurate, but in statistic you also work with a 95% significance level. You can never compare two different tools, because all of them track each their way.

The important thing here is to look at the changes in time. Did your number of visits increase or decrease?

    Hey there,

Im with you on this , I think that the figures for the searches on each keyword can be manipulated by google. some of the apparent clicks per page just dont add up.

Okay, one thing that you need to realize about Google Anaytics is that it will only track pages that are "Java Script Enabled".

For that reason, it will always give you a low reading compared to other stat counting programs.

So there is a lot of useful info to gain from Google Analytics, but you need to keep the actual numbers in perspective.

I think most of the good tools are not free. However, analytics is the best of all the free ones.

Analytics has been pretty accurate for me. I had to make sure it was installed correctly on all of my pages. Now I can see where incoming traffic is coming from if they do not goto my main URL. This is very helpful as I try to span out my keywords for individual pages.
