This is obviously one of the busiest threads on DP - rather than attempt to digest all 501 pages of posts - can someone give me a straight answer and let me know if there is opportunity here? I run a whole bunch of sites that bring 1000's of visitors each day so I'm always looking for new ways to monetise my traffic. Any candid advice would be greatly appreciated!

i don't have problem with that because my files always downloaded.

 

if you have 1000 UV daily then it's good, but it depends on your traffic and niche tho. for example, if your traffic like to download then it's good for you. if your niche, for example, weight loss, then it's no good for you.

 

Hello, I have switched to PPD on Sunday and my stats are now being updated but the rouhgly 300 dl's i got from Friday to Sunday are not showing. That is potentially some money that I would be missing out on. Can someone please advise on what can be done?

You will only earn money for downloads while you're on the PPD program; and the inverse applies to sales.

 

I've noticed a problem with the download page that gimps the potential pay-per-download downloads for webmasters... it lacks the "Free Download" text completely.... nowhere on the download page says "free" the closest is the "slow download" button way down at the at the bottom right.... the page looks all premium.... it might lead to more sales tricking the (below?)average surfer into thinking he can't download without paying..... but this probably gimping the downloads we pay-per-download webmasters get... even fileserve has a "free user/free member" text to indicate where to download for free...

Speaking as a marketer and a web designer your competitors download page seems to be all around more efficient at getting free downloads and getting premium sales...
