Anyone have any idea when will be the next PR update... google updated backlinks.....

 

I have a friend that lost PR form a page last night ... but that's all!I have over 20 websites ... and no change on Pr!This is even a good news,we Google will not quit using PR!

 

I agree with you My site also got from PR 0 to 3.

 

I thought it'll be updated in the last December. please make sure your content is originally on your site.if you content is duplicate then google will non cached your site and you may be Los Page rank.

 

In fact small updates of PR happens every 4 weeks or so, that's why some websites can loose PR as well as other gain it. But it passed more than 9 months from the date the last major update happened. Today no one can say for sure when another major update will be. However many Google representatives say that they try to improve PR system so it could be more useful that it does now. So maybe such great amount of time means major changes are coming...

 

last small updates of PR was 1.12.10

 

is google stopped ranking system... there was no major PR update from April 2010... only google backlinks are updating....

My site remained solid.

In my niche of landscape and tree, Pagerank 4 is about the apex, unless its like Davey Tree, a national company. But about the only other Pagerank 4 in the Portland area is Drakes 7 Dees, which is a large premier landscape company in this region. With a nice site BTW.

What I enjoyed seeing, was not just that my own home page is PR4.

But that I have 6 individual pages at PR4.

That's 5 pages besides my home page, that exceed the PR relevance of most other homes pages within my trade. And I'd have to add ... that content is King, I suppose. Because I have at least 120 pages on the site, all providing reasons for people to link back to individual pages or the website itself.

From what I can see, high PR pages within a site help lift up other new pages within the website too.

Thanks alot! My site only ranks...0/10. So I still have lots of work to do I did very other sites that I know should have a decent ranking to make sure it was working fine and I think the PR engine works.

 

How many of you think there will be a pr update before new year?

I think PR is now a thing of the past. No more updates. Link buying/selling with high PR will be a thing of the past. Nobody wants to hear it, but we all know that may be the case. Google knows how big the link buying/selling industry is.

 

Is that possible? Yes no one know the Google policy.

I think this 'PR' thing makes google popular. Its a unique service by google. I don't think google will drop it. Instead, they are trying to improve their algorithms to fight web spam and are busy currently. And buying and selling of links will never stop as long as there is SEO. If google drops PR, we ll start seeing other tools for evaluating link worth.but link buying and selling is never gonna stop.

I have heard conflicting rumors about pagerank and google seem to be increasing the "gaps" between the updates. does anyoe think they will dump the concept?

 

Surely something have to change. I've seen lots of sites full of any kind of spam wich have high PRs. I can't understand how Google made this possible...
