Similar domains for same keyword/niche, redirect question

I have a few domains for the same keyword, for example -
WaterNews.com
WaterUpdates.com
WaterInfo.com

My question is, what would be the best strategy in building these domains up. Which domain should I choose? For the others, should I set up spinners and automate them with similar content, or redirect them to the main domain I try to build. If redirect, what kind of redirect, and should I still promote the other domains in SEO practice, or just build links for the main one?

You should utilize all domains by choose a one as primary and the rest 2 as link bases. They should be hosted under different class C hosting from the beginning. I would not recommend you to use any spun articles if they are not unique enough, or if they cannot be read by humans. It would be an identical pattern from search engine perspective to detect your spam attempt if those contents are garbage.

 

I understand, expect for when you say different hosting class. When you say link base, you mean I can promote the articles I post on the main site with the redirected domains URL on other websites such as facebook, and google will rank it better than if it were coming from a single domain?

Create 1 site and redirect all other domains to the site. Use 301 redirection. 1 IP is enough.

 

When link building, can I use the redirected domains when it is better suited to the keyword im going for?

 

It doesn't matter for SEO as long as the domain is redirected.
But if the redirected domains are not indexed, you must build a few backlinks for just getting indexed and following the 301 redirect.

 

use one domain as the "hub" and have the others redirect to your site.

 

Choose only one and direct all your link building to it, Google might suspect any form of manipulation if you continue building for other domains that all have to do is redirect it to the main one.

 

thanks for the useful info about using class c ip . i have been using domains in same niche with similar keywords ... . but i noticed sites like windows7news.com , windows8news.com , windows9news.com are all in same ip yet ranking on top . what you have to say about that ..
