Shawn and YFS1. But I bet there are plenty of other smart members who I haven't thought of. Those are just two that spring to mind because they post a lot. And maybe the most intelligent member of the whole forum isn't quite so loquacious?

Hmmm, does smartest really = most posts? There are thousands of members here that are very smart and don't often post.

I'm guessing Matt Cutts is probably fairly smart. He certainly outsmarts 90% of SEO'ers on the forum every day.

 

You know someone today told me that Matt Cutts was a Blackhat SEO. I nearly fell off my chair in laughter! What many people don't realise is Matt Cutts is SEO, Lord of SEO, SEO Master and SEO King. Why do people have to try to bring other people down just because he is popular?

The funny thing is when people actually do what Matt Cutts suggests they get good results. I wonder why this is? Maybe because he actually knows what he is talking about!

I am sick of this ongoing argument. There ya go! Iv'e had my 2 cents worth on this topic.

I wouldn't call him an "SEO Master" (or any of the other names you have for him)...He kinda has an advantage seeing he works for Google . An SEO master is someone who knows all those things without the benefit of all the knowledge of the other Google engineers, etc etc

 

Matt isn't even an SEO, yes he has an insight into the inner workings of Google, though he's not that up with most of the techniques that SEOs use.
