I think everyone here is making money from google traffic .. what if one day , google penalised yours site and removing your site index... I used to focus on google .. but now i am changing my strategy on MSN and Yahoo .. both of these search engine is stable and i can say that yahoo traffic is far more better conversion rate .... my advice , dont depend on google and ignore the rest ..... i dont really care on google pr cause i know even with pr0 .. i still can success with others alternative searh engine .. cheerssssss
i would be craped out of luck! i am one the first page for a great keyword, i am also trying to work on yahoo and msn, which i always thought was easier, but its not looking that way anymore!
If googe delists your site I recommend click the support button, write a ticket with your URL and wait for a quick and detailed answer on what it is google had a problem with this time. Oops I'm sorry.. doesn't work that way. Probably never will. They need their billions to buy video sites, nothing left for support.
Not to mention that the new Microsoft Search engine is going to play a BIGGER role in the internet scene in the next few months - I personally think google is dropping fast
if u target only google but not msn or yahoo, and get rank on one or two keyword, than u will definatly get good rank on almost all targeted keywords.
Google is not dropping fast but MSN is set for a huge increase in traffic when IE7 is installed automatically on the worlds PC's in the next month. http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/26/678149.aspx
I agree with your statement Mad4 but if MSN increases in the market share Google has to decrease so they are dropping and will continue to as other search engines develop better more related search results and pour more money into the advertising and marketing.
I only get traffic from Google so it that happens to my site my revenue would drop drastically. That’s why I’m in favor of search engines taking more of Google’s market share.
Well actually you can always submit a reinclusion request through their sitemaps/webmasters section. I know I have done this. You don't get a response or anything but supposedly they normally review your request within a couple of weeks. I know my site was relisted - I don't know if that was due to their algorithm or it someone reviewed my site. Well whilst my rankings in Google are better than in MSN and Yahoo, my sites still do rank reasonably well in MSN and Yahoo and if Google for whatever reason dropped off the face of the Earth (not that it will) I could easily spend a month or two retweaking my sites to better please Yahoo and MSN - but that said generally what pleases one pleases them all, so it's not a HUGE issue.
Actually more people visit my sites from MSN than google. Msn seems to pic my sites faster and rank them better. Peace,
mind sharing what the difference in terms of strategies for these engines? i'd have thought that they would be almost the same (if not the same) but i'm not an seo expert... would appreciate your feedback. thanks!
well, the only way to move when you are right at the top is down... but that won't be in the near future...
Mad4, your correct in what you are saying about MSN getting a huge boost from IE7 and even new computers that will might be shipped with IE6 in the next few month, Microsoft has already hit up manufacturers about including the new MSN Live Search as the default home page or an accessible bookmark.
As of now we can not over look google because it is using hugely by end users to fire their search queries.Even Non - IT person can also operate google easily. As per my opinion as of now google is a king of SE so we can not over look google.
No Matter, what'll happen in this world... If MSN comes out with IE 10 also than also google will be the most Popular search engine because everyone knows only 1 SE in this world thats Google
It's good to try and diversify as much as possible, and it really isn't as hard as people think. For example, if you are ranking well in Google but not MSN, create a .Blogspot blog about your main site (MSN loves .Blogspot blogs).
