How long till a domain becomes available again

    I am waiting for a certain domain to expire. Its going to expire next week and I've been waiting for a longtime for this one.

    What I need to know is how long do it take until this domain becomes available to purchase at any domain registerer?

    First, the registrar offers the domain holder a grace period. After this is over, the domain is put on hold. You can not get the domain before 30 days after the expiration date.

    I believe that it usually takes around a month or more after the domain expires. If the owner does not renew it within this period then it comes onto the open market. If there is no one else waiting for it,you could grab it :)

    After the domain date expires,It becomes available to register again at any Registrar and some registrars like Godaddy put domains into auctions where you have to win the auction to get the domain :)
