Does Prestashop support multiple stores?

I'm a bit indecisive on which shopping cart platform solution I'd like to utilize for my ecommerce site, does the Prestashop administrative backend support running multiple stores on their shopping cart platform? Does Magento (Community Edition) support running more than one store from their administrative backend also? If I like a certain Prestashop theme better than a Magento theme, would a developer be able to convert Prestashop theme (.psd) to work on the Magento shopping cart? Thanks for your assistance.

If you want to run multiple stores from a common back-end then what you want is opencart
    http://www.opencart.com
I have worked with opencart quite a lot and can assure you it's very good - better than prestashop, and way WAY better than magento, and of course it's free ;)

    Hello,

No, Magento wont support multiple stores..Prestashop has many problems while using it,
i better suggest you to go for oxid...There are many modules in a oxid e-shop which probably impress you with themes and features, if you feel of you want to apply a new theme into your shop then it is possible, . http://goo.gl/i04nT

You're wrong! Magento does support multi stores, you can click on their demo and see for yourself. I was specifically asking about PrestaShop supporting 'Multi Store'. Since PrestaShop doesn't I'll have to look at other possible shopping cart alternatives. Oxid is way too expensive.

@Muffet - you are right -my wrong - Magento does support multi-stores - sorry!

OXID has a free Community Edition, which is fully functional. You can download it from bit.ly/download-oxid-ce

Oops :p I completely overlooked the OXID eshop, I didn't realize it had a community edition. I guess I was shell shocked from the prices for the Professional Edition. lol Thanks for pointing that out for me. Where's the demo for the Admin and User Front-end? I'm having difficulty locating them, so I can check out the cart in further detail to see if it'll be something I'm interested in using possibly for a future site or one of my current sites. I've gone with Magento for one of my stores and I have PrestaShop installed on another site but I'm thinking I might change that one because of the lack of features & sophistication of back end compared to Magento.

Hi Euroblaze, if I take Oxid Professional edition, Am I still be able to do customization and make my own modules if required?
    Thanks
