I always had this dream of creating a web messenger.I use yahoo all the time.I badly wanna make something like that especially for a region in which I live in so that people can get to know each other very well.How do I do it PHP? How can I run it on the server? How is the domain and hosting going to work? I'm a newbie to programming.So,please explain skin deep.
I won't get too much into details since there are many materials on the Internet referencing that kind of stuff (ie. the sticky in this subforum is very useful). Instant messaging in PHP is pretty advanced stuff, you probably want to research comet programming, unless you decide to use some CMS like Dolphin.
