Do you mean the other filehosts which have lower PPD rates and count fewer countries? The gimmick of a "sales bonus" only hides the fact you are earning less on those hosts to begin with.

Hi guys, my first post here.
I cannot access the filesonic homepage. Is the server down? I have no problems accessing hotfile or rapidshare.
A couple of days ago I had no problems accessing the site. I am from Malaysia.

 

@above - loads fine for me - UK based.

 

I really hope the Malaysian Internet provider (TMNET Streamyx) is not blocking the site. I have just signed up for a month's use of filesonic usage. Sigh...

 

You're not going to get much sympathy here as you are obviously trying to snatch another pirate's files and make them your own. ;-)

There is, however, a benefit of you bring this problem to the attention of the forum. Anyone who has been upset by FSn-FSn RU lately could try using long file names and then check if that stops their files from being subject to RU.

 

Test it via proxy. If the site loads once you have masked your location you may well have a problem with your ISP.

Sales only plan is entirely based on luck, while download only plan is based on average.

If you have exclusive demanding files in your account then going for the sales only plan is beneficial, otherwise opt for download only plan.

@qingwapeng - this is because the file name contains non-Latin-letters. only latin letters will work
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789._()[]
are the only charactors that are guarenteed to work correctly - so if you use these then should be ok

Too funny, bud. If you were insulted by my post, just wait until those who have been asking for FileSonic to ban FSn-FSn RU get a hold on you. If you look back, personally I haven't taken much of a side, but these guys are going to see this as a plus, not a bug. They're going to be thrilled there is a way to stop their files from being snatched via RU and are going to ask FileSonic not to "fix" anything. I cannot say I blame them, especially when you make such a public request in light of the discussion going on over the past week or so.
