France: Schoolgirl Stoned In Playground For Not Observing Ramadan

A schoolgirl of Jean Mermoz college in Lyon's eighth arrondissement (postal district) was pelted with stones on Wednesday morning in the playground because she ate a snack. The argument that the incident stemmed from the non-observance of Ramadan is confirmed by the Lyon prosecutor's office, based on initial results from its investigation.

On the bright side, at least she wasn't stoned to death like Ghofrane Haddaoui.

So much for the religion of peace. :(

Yet another quote from an Islamophobic blog  First of all, young girls before the age of puberty are not required to fast and even if they are old enough to fast and they don't, it probably means that their usual biological cycle has come around which means they are exempted from the fast. No reason to stone her.

So either Western Resistance is making silly stories up or there is more to it than what is known.

I love what Menji didn't quite come out and say, which is that if she were older and not having her period, it would have been perfectly correct to stone her.

Political neologism, used to defame Islam. A favourite tactic of Islamophobes.

There is no way to know that unless we ask, don't we? And do not jump to conclusions so quickly. Lapidation is only a punishment for adultery, not for any other aspect of Islamic law.

If she doesn't fast without good cause, then obviously she had sinned.

Does that mean every muslim has to follow the rules? And if they don't then, they have committed a sin?

It's only 2:12am and I've already learned something today.

I didn't know that there was a specific word in English for stoning someone to death.

With a bit of further research, I discover that there is a word for this in Arabic (rajm) and in Persian (sangsari).

I guess that the Inuits have 27 words for snow, I shouldn't be surprised at this.

You don't know about the word lapidation? Gosh. First time for everything, isn't it? You might also be pleased to know that a former Malaysian cabinet minister has also embraced Islam some two days ago.

Hey, if I were a guy (I am) and had absolutely no morals or ethics or care for my fellow human beings, I would embrace Islam too.

Islam is the perfect religion if you're a male and you want to be a total pig.

I constantly tell my wife that I'm converting and we're moving to Saudi Arabia.

    Unfortunately, she has a gun.

It is precisely because of your lack of morals or ethics or for any care for your fellow human beings which is why you are not a Muslim now.

So a man that aren't moslem can't a good moral, high ethic standard or care about his fellow humans?

Don't take me wrong, I agree that the stoning(if it took place) have nothing to do with Islam.
