Hi friends i want to know what is clocking i know little about it but not deeply please provide me information in detail about it. Thanks in advance

 

I think you are asking clocking in terms of SEO.

Clocking is the black hat SEO process in which we show another page to visitors and other page to search engine's crawlers with acceding the keywords on that page for getting good results but it is totally a black hat and you may ban in Google by using it.

If it is so it means serving one set of content to the search engine spiders,
and then serving different content to “human” visitors.

You need to be extra careful while doing it as Google hates cloaking.

Hi I think you are asking about "Link Cloaking", in your thread you have written "clocking" but in seo we have a term called "Cloaking" or "Link Cloaking". According to Wikipedia “Cloaking” is a Black Hat SEO(search Engine Optimisation) technique in which the content presented to the Search Spiders/Bots are different to that presented to the user’s browser.

Link Cloaking can get you banned from Search Engines and that only done by black hat people/ Spammers because these people do this work by intentionally in order to get first position in Search Engines.

That’s quite true when it’s used in the context of search engine optimisation (SEO). Search engines don’t like it when people try to manipulate their algorithms with cloaking content pages. Therefore, they penalise any site that attempts to manipulate their search results using that tactic/method.

However “Link Cloaking” has a very different meaning in affiliate marketing. An affiliate marketer may want to cloak his affiliate link for few reasons, the most common is to hide the actual affiliate link from being displayed in the browser. This helps the affiliate prevent commission theft, among other things. Commission theft happens when other affiliates replace your affiliate link with theirs while buying and deny you the commissions which you deserve.

So according to me "Link Cloaking" Or "Cloaking" is not a sin and search engines should not ban all those sites who uses Cloaked Links.

Cloaking is bad and will get your site banned or even taken off the search engine. I will tell you its not worthy of doing it, just focus on the good seo and you will be good.
