Can any Other Search Engines would Achieve the Status of Google or Yahoo?

We have been witnessing number of search engines are being lunched everyday by so many unknown persons and college dropout students. Some of them are dreaming to be like Google, Yahoo or Bing etc. Even some new search engines are selling keywords illegally.
Do you think all these new search engines would achieve the status of Google or Yahoo someday?

 

its too far too happen yet, when you talk about SE's Google wouldnt be shaken...

 

What about Yahoo? If it can be closer to Google, why not others? Just a logical view!

For sure Google will be taken down 1 days..
Human behavior will change which for sure Google will not follow up customer trend 1 days.
Google Chrome now too focus on speed of loading and result given.
But they still large amount of people would like to looking for news in search engine home pages. So 1 days customer behavior will change again which they would like something else in home page of search engine.
That why form yahoo change to Google leading now, after few generation will come up other leading search engine again.

 

If any one work hard , his search engine can reach yahoo and bing but not google .

yes, Google is still number1..

though it is hard to tell.. Google, for starter had a huge head up when it comes to time and credibility.. so if you want to surpass Google, hard work isn't enough..you have to put everything on it..

 

I don't see any potential search engine yet that will break Google away..

 

i see hard for others to reach google serp quality. Do you remember Altavista, Lycos, AOL? And now, do you ever use bing (imho it really sucks) or yahoo? Goggle is not perfect but is the best we have now, and goggle has to much know how about SE that it is difficult to reach its standard

 

Let look after 4 to 5 years times, i'm sure Google will be replace by others. We wait for it..^^

 

As of now, google is still on top from the list of search engines on the web. But of course, things will change. Its either the change will be in favor of google or other search engine. Like what they have written, it will take hard work and everything putting in it to take the place of google as the top search engine.

 

Few years back google was nothing. That time MSN and yahoo ruled the whole empire. Then came Google and made it's position as what we are seeing today. This can be happened in the case of a new booming SE in the future.

 

in CIS we have serious competitor for goolge - yandex.
there's also a lot of tools and services. but in the worldwide sence, google wins

 

Yep, Yandex is the superhero in CIS. I hope it'll pickup the pace even more since it's still kinda slow.

 

Seem many people talk about Yandex. Can i know where the search engine from?

 

In my own vision, the other search engine cannot be like that three engine site especially Google. Maybe they will become like Google if Google will stop there good quality of services? what do you think, Am I right?

 

A search engine will overtake google when a search engine finds a better way to rate sites other than links. It can also rely on advertising like Bing. The type of people that are receptive to advertising are also the ones that make search engines the most money.

 

I can't wait for the day when someone takes Googs down!

 

That's a pretty good question. I used to hear about search engine Cuil, but nothing for a good while now.
