Just wonder to understand the process of promoting a website, if my site is static for one year, do I still need to promote the site? Please help if you know the process. Thanks
This is actually pretty much what you should consider. If you're not targeting more keywords and marketing your site anymore, nobody else will...most likely. But your competitors will see your lack of marketing and attack.
Continuous promotion is required to stay ahead although you have website for on year or more because if your website has not traffic then it means no website is not meaningful.
Yet you need to promote it . Promote it vigorously . Needs to add content, further develop more backlinkgs and adopt different methods to popularise it to attract lost visitors.
You should use SEO techniques to maintain and promote your site If you will not use the latest techniques you will loose the visitor as well as the ranking of your site
I'm going to disagree with everyone on this thread. I've got a website that I haven't touched or built a single backlink to for a few years now and it's still at the top of the rankings for some very competitive keywords. In fact it get's more traffic now than it ever has. I built thousands of backlinks in the first few years and haven't needed to touch it since.
