You're so funny. I've glanced over that blog, and it's apparent that they don't consider the life of a woman as equal to a man. Another example, Article 487 for abortion: f) If the embryo has a soul and the embryo is a boy, full mulct applies. If the embryo has a soul and the embryo is a girl, half mulct applies and if the sex of the souled embryo is not clear, three quarters of mulct applies. On a side note, does the mullahs great scientific knowledge tell them which embryo's have souls? Further, even how it often refers to "Muslims" and "Infidels". As an example, one section starting at Article 207: "If a Muslim is murdered"...Article 209: "If a Muslim man premeditatedly murders a Muslim woman"...Article 210: "If an infidel premeditatedly murders another infidel". I can't understand, why do they need to differentiate like that? It shouldn't matter.
It seems you are getting famous for spreading propaganda mr babak, your' blind followers fall for your fake information, congratulations, you must feel great now.
embryos should have soul after a month I guess but after five months could find gender of embryo I guess but not sure. my wife knows about it better than me, she had some cases in her hospital. nearly all the doctors and hospital staffs have insurance, so if they kill a body, their insurance would pay it instead of them. in our law infidel means Christian, Jew and Zoroastrian they are one third of a Muslim in value of compensate. it means I have to murder three of them then they can hang me. if I murder two then thay should wait or deliver me to kill another! seems we haven't law about other infidels, so guess we are free to kill them. woman cost half of a man, so far although they done ultimate effort to obtain equality but no any success so far. it's not just compensate value but many other things for instance divorce right and tutorship of her children.
That's really awful. First of all, it doesn't seem that an individuals religion, or lack thereof should be any concern of the government. As well, if a man is murdered, or a woman, they are both human beings and it's equally tragic. To say one human life holds more value than the other simply because they are a certain sex or religion is an odd way of looking at life. I wouldn't be as surprised if it was an individuals personal prejudice, but to have that incorporated into the law of the land seems outrageous. I don't think I would be very happy living under a theocracy. This is a bit off subject, but you mentioned Zoroastrians. The other night I was reading a bit about them, as I'm writing an article about how different religions relate to dogs. They seem nice. I've never met one, but I guess they're more in Iran and India? BTW, Babak, I always enjoy reading your posts too.
you welcome Rebecca Yeah you right prejudice is awful especial when mentioned in law. I think condition for women in Iran isn't bad because they heavily support by our culture and most of Iranian don't know much about our law. I had a Zoroastrian friend, I have seen them as good people, their motto is "good thoughts, good words, and good deeds". for your attention you should know that Mazda a car Japanese brand is from Zoroastrian God "Ahura Mazda" and "Freddie Mercury" was a "Parsi". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury in Iran most of Zoroastrian lives in Yazd a city in central Iran. Anyway this religion is an Iranian religion and most of Iranian feasts right now related to this religion.
I don't know about Zoroastrian but seems it has some common sense with Christianity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrians are mainly fire-worshipers, and their customs are fairly different from those of Christians. A lot of them fled to India from Iran (then Persia)escaping persecution from Islam. In India they have historically been known as Parsis (coming from 'Persia') and they are a very successful community settled mostly in and around the city of Mumbai. From Wikipedia: Parsi or Parsee (pronounced /ˈpÉ‘rsiË/) refers to a member of the larger of the two Zoroastrian communities in South Asia, the other being the Irani community. According to tradition, the present-day Parsis descend from a group of Iranian Zoroastrians who immigrated to South Asia during 8th century AD, due to persecution in Iran. The long presence in the region distinguishes the Parsis from the Iranis, who are more recent arrivals, and who represent the smaller of the two Indian-Zoroastrian communities. Because the religion of the people that conduct the terrorist actions is Islam . Therefore the terrorist are Muslims .
pardon for delay. I don't think Zoroasterians were fire-worshipers. their temple name "Atash-kadeh" means fire house but it don't mean fir was their God. fire was sacred element in their religion and Ahura Mazda is their God. one of our feast is "Chahar shanbe suri" we love this feast and celebrate it so better than any Islamic feast, so some Arabs call us fire worshipers because of that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chahar_Shanbeh_Suri Mullahs also dislike such feasts that refer to our previous religion. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/20/international/middleeast/20iran.html?ex=1300510800&en=7041104725feb35f&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss
