Market Samurai or Keyword Elite isn't a bad tool to use. However, it's not a bad idea to network with other photo bloggers, sxc.hu (blogs and your profile link are both helpful here), connect on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Linkedin. Once you find other bloggers, build relationships and they will certainly publish your work and give you opportunities to be a guest author. Build up link equity to your domain and you'll start ranking for many keywords and broad terms.

Go use the Google Keywords Tool and enter your main keywords there. It will give you some suggestion of keywords or you can find keywords by analyzing other websites related to yours. Just make sure the keywords you select have a good traffic volume and as much less competition as possible.

Tagging is where you write some specific target keywords for each post, this lets the search engines determine what your post is about so if you use the info remshad has given you (see quote) you could write an article about famous photographers and then in the little box below put the words famous artists.

Also why not look for a keyword rich domain? e.g famousphotographers . com, obviously use one related to your site but a common term that people search for. This will help your organic search engine traffic dramatically (especially if the keyword is not too competitive)

I have one at position one in google now and it's there because it has a good domain name, granted it doesn't get many searches 750 (stupid mistake on my part - looking at broad match instead of exact) but I have been using this site to work on a site for a friend of mine in london and have had the same info on it for almost 3 months now and still sit at the top.

search for nitro t1 snowboard on google
