please show me how Iraq is not going to go down as one of the biggest mistakes the US has ever made?

and don't say something like "oh they had an elections"

they had elections when saddam was in power, they have elections in lots of total peice of crap countries, that in itself is not really proof of anything

Yeah, to see which family should go kill themselves.

I know some Iraq veterans personally, one who actually came back this week. He says that the situation is taking its time, yeah, but is slowly getting better. He says if we pull out now, it would collapse into catastrophe, and we just need to keep fighting. He's going back in a few more weeks.

There is a difference between making mistakes within the war and the war being a mistake. There were and are mistakes being made in the Iraq war, but that doesn´t mean the war itself is a mistake.

yeah the elections under saddam were a joke, but that is kind of my point.

yeah some soldiers say that, but another soldier will say the opposite. soldiers arn't allowed to say anything negative about the war publically so its kind of hard to tell

but that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake to go in there, its ok guys you can recognize what a big mistake it was and still be "conservative", you can recognize how crooked this war is and still be "right wing" , lots of people are doing it

war has been a catastrophe, every since they let the looting go unchecked and disbanded the military, its just been downhill, massive amounts of money just disappear into a black hole over there, corruption seems rampant on the Iraqi side, and our side, people picked for their party affiliation over any actually experience are in charge, hiding out in the green zone shoveling money into a black hole

ok gtech you win, there are no dead end dropout people who join the military because they can't handle life without someone telling them what to do, everyone who joins the military is smart well adjusted and had huge prospects in civilan life that they just brushed aside to serve their country

That pretty well describes the military people whom I know personally.

The State Controller of Colorado volunteered for active duty and went to Iraq to help build a fiscally responsible government.

Another friend of mine who is a senior software developer did a tour in Afghanistan and now he's volunteering again.

Another senior software developer I know went active duty to do a tour in Iraq. He's back home now with his wife and their children.

Of of the developers is a combat commander, the other stayed in the green zone. Both served the consciences and their country.

You have it all wrong. The "defending your country and your rights" that they feed you is bullcrap. The only thing our poor souls over there are defending is Bush's interests and personal ego. A war of choice. Countless live's lost.

New record: lets see if Dubya's ratings will sink any lower than 33%. It will be an interesting social experiment.

I pretty much take offense to this comment you have made.

    1) Im a Gulf War I Vet that was combat injured and was medically retired because of said injuries.

    2) I was then and am now highly educated with 2 degrees.

    3) I was there then and tried to go back this time also.

    4) You are fed your news where I was there and saw fist had what was happening.

    5) I have buddies still in today and 99% of all military will tell you the LIBERAL MEDIA is full of SHIT.

    6) 17 UN resolutions and 12 years later we FINALLY went in because the cease fire agreement that Sadaam signed was broken over and over.

    7) If we as Americans learned anything from 9-11 it should of been that we dont sit back and ignore threats. Bush had 8 months in office and Clinton had 8 YEARS when 9-11 took place.

Its funny the ones that are whining because they keep losing elections havent said one thing about the many lives we as Americans have lost but only mention lives within Iraq. You are the enemies best friend and they love you for what you do and say.

You ignore the good and focus on the bad.....But your fed that like a baby from the LIBERAL Media.

The Dems and the WORLD said Iraq had WMDs and even Sadaam said it also but because its not popular anymore you have an excuse as to change your mind and ignore what you said in the beginning. Its called a Flip-Flop.

I can go on and on but ya know you Libs arent worth it cause your thick headed and led around like lost dogs pulling at any string you can find in the hope that one day another Dem will be in control again.

    LOL.....
