alexa rank is important?

i saw some clickbank sites does very high ranking of alexa, such as 10k. is that important? how to improve the ranking of alexa.

could you someone recommand a alexa service ? thanks

 

I don't think you will be able to understand the concept of Alexa before you understand the right section to place a thread.

i think alexa rank is important. it's describe how many visitors visit your site and how many pages they visit.

you can improve alexa rank by.. 1) installing alexa toolbar 2) by adding alexa site status button 3) by making post about alexa rank and their site ... (it's proven)

I don't think you should worry about alexa rank, just worry about getting more visitors to your site and that will increase alexa rank automaticly.

 

When it comes to usefulness, alexa rank is somewhere close to page rank. Both are not crucial for direct monetization, and are not as important as traffic alone; but they can be useful if you intend to sell links on your site, or if you intend to sell the whole site/domain.

 

not a true representation amount of visitors but an alexa estimate based on the tool bar users etc. I have some sites that have decent alexa ranks but actual traffic is crap, and then some sites that have good traffic but alexa rank is not that great. however with that said it is often a decent quick representation of a site with decent traffic

 

Alexa rank is important for advertisers that trying to evaluate the audience of the site. Or when you selling site or domain name. Alexa rank can be improved by buying dirt cheap automated traffic.

Alexa has slightly different result with Google analytic. But doesn't mean that Alexa not accurate at all. Alexa is easy to help us find our target audience in there which will show the demographic of audience, percentages of audience came from. It quite easy to use as well. So i feel is still important.

 

I personally feel happy seeing my sites has a good rank in alexa,I use it for my mental satisfaction. But the advertisers pay some value in alexa ranking. If you have a site with greater alexa ranking, of course advertiser will be interested to sponsor your site. I have a ranking of 800k within less than 2 months.

Not all advertisers look at Alexa, there are a bunch of similar tools out there that people use and nowadays people know Alexa (& these other tools) aren't accurate. If you have the traffic then you will get paid for it in terms of advertising and rev share because of results

 

bunch of other tools are based on Alexa data as it comes to estimating the traffic. They provide their own keyword, etc analysis, but no one else to my knowledge has their toolbar distributed widely enough to provide more or less reliable data on what websites people visit

 

yes alexa rank, it will help you to find out if a site is really valuable, but also you'll have to check the rest of the SEO metrics to get a more realistic view over that site.

Alexa Rank can be used to call in gullible advertisers, who don't realize that Alexa can be faked VERY easily.
