I changed to FileSonic from a different file hosting site (advertised here on DP) and I must say you guys are doing really good job. Download count stayed about the same because my downloaders don't really care where the files are from, but the money earned increased + the uploading is waay faster!

Just wanted to say thanks for this great service!

+ I've noticed that the support is superb :)

I disabled NoScript and it works, successful download.
I switched to IE browser and it works, successful download.
    Good news, mostly,
    BUT....
I had already tried IE browser last night and it didn't work, per my first post written after hours of trying and retrying everything I could think of. Which means the NoScript issue is very likely a red herring too. I conclude something was broken and now it's magically fixed, and has nothing to do with my setup. So, the final fix turned out to be "Try it again later".

Sluggish means anything filesonic takes 10+ seconds to see any response to my keyboard/mouse actions. At the captcha box I type each letter and it takes 5+ seconds per letter to appear in the box. I have a slow computer, but compared to all the other web stuff I do, filesonic is by far the slowest. Example: even a very complicated Ebay search takes 30seconds or less to fully load. On the filesonic front page, just clicking the "News" link takes 50seconds to fully load. I call that sluggish, especially considering such a simple task. Until now Ebay was my heavyweight champion for slowest response to everything. Now filesonic takes the championship from eBay.

How can I test this theory? How would I go about fixing it?

Finally (again), could you please provide an answer to my javascript question??

    filesonic.com
    googleapis.com
    google.com
    fbcdn.net
    addthis.com
    facebook.com
    google-analytics.com

^Which of the these javascripts are required to make (free user) file downloading possible? And which ones can be blocked without affecting functionality?
Yes I could use trial and error but I'm sure some software person at filesonic knows the answer without even having to think about it.

    Thanks.

We did encounter problems with IE earlier, but we fixed them this morning.

This is very surprising. We haven't gotten negative feedback of this sort in a while. We've optimized our site quite well, and if you load it with Firebug and/or YSlow, you can see that the site is pretty lightweight.

Try pinging filesonic.com and note the times. Compare it to other domains. Unfortunately, 'fixing' it isn't easy, as it has to do with the connection between our servers and your ISP.

You can probably skip google-analytics.com, facebook.com and addthis.com. But, honestly, I just recommend you run the site as designed, and without NoScript.

I run NoScript and it has never interfered. I do not think the problem is NoScript.

    @filesonic-it
I just lost all my files contained in a folder! For a problem of your filemanager (i guess) i just lost an entire folder containing hundreds of files! I only delete one folder that was in unother folder but for some strange mistake i get deleted all the folders contained in that folder! is there a way to have them back? I can't reupload and replace all that files!
