For over a year im using free kloxo control panel on my VPS, but recently i started using directadmin for one company where im working. I heard so many good reviews about directadmin some people put it on 1st place, of course Cpanel is way better and has many more reviews as best control panel but monthly price is twice and more higher than for directadmin. In other hand kloxo has so many bad reviews but its free. Directadmin has a lot less functions than kloxo but has better interface, cpanel has good interface and lot of functions but its lot more expensive. What i experienced in last month with directadmin i never experienced with kloxo, for me it was much easier to maintain and setup kloxo than directadmin. For both servers im using webmin and ssh connection to do most things. CP i use only for users and websites. And i never saw Cpanel in action as admin. Question is what is your opinion, experience and recomendation to use for commercial dedicated servers. What cp has less bugs, easy for clients, and safest against hacks.
I'll second that. cPanel is very good and is probably used by the majority of people out there, making it easy for people who transfer to you from other companies.
I have been using cPanel since I have been working with webhosts, I think this is the most secure control panel there is out there.
I would prefer cPanel personally. Its user interface looking easy to use and familiar over another one. vDeck is another good option. I have also used VHCS from some hosting company but it is not what I expected. You may interesting to read this article about comparison between cPanel and vDeck - http://www.mybestratedwebhosting.com/best-web-hosting-tips/cpanel-or-vdeck-which-is-better.html
cpnel is a better choice over vdeck for regular users that have low to none technical knowledge. Its interface looking familiar and easy to use. vdeck is not bad but it is too complex to newbie. Another most popular freeware is VHCS and of course it cannot be compared to cpanel or vdeck in most aspects.
Did anyone had any experience with kloxo or directadmin ? and do anyone know what is price of vDeck i still didn't get any answer of their support team.
as a web hosting provider we always reccomend to our customers cpanel/whm it is by far the best nd for a vps u can get that for 15 bucks
Use the best control panel. For me, it's cPanel/WHM. Easy to configure, easy to maintain. Large community that can help you in case you got stuck. It's more professional to use cPanel. I am not affiliated with them.
DirectAdmin by far is the best IMO. I really don't care for the way cPanel handles "addon" domains. In DirectAdmin all domains are treated equally. There are no "addon" domains. If your primary domain was was changed DirectAdmin would have no issues. Such can't be said about cPanel.
