I have been doing much research into the integrity of the Koran (yes I know, what a waste of time?) but hey, I was curious. I did many word searches on many topics and I found extremely confusing scriptures. I'm sure some of you have heard of this one: Not exactly pleasant is it? And its pretty clear on its point; jews and christians are evildoers. But then, when looking for scriptures concerning this topic, I found another one: Thats also pretty clear, the scripture is explaining how those who follow the Jewish faith, and christian faith will have their reward with the sustainer. I find this extremely contridicting and with error. How is it that christians and jews are to be rewarded by the sustainer, but suddenly, they are considered evil doers? I've also found many corrolations and changes of thought and opinion in the Koran. My personal conclusion is that the Koran obviously didn't come from Allah, it came from man over the years. That explains why the Koran changes its opinions on many topics all over as well. The fact that the Koran lyes about its origins, makes me think of it as a very uncreditable piece of literature. You may have a different conclusion, and if you do, please share it.
First verse talks about political alliances (a specific case) and the second talks about general relations with non-Muslims. No contradiction. Duh! Try again next time. - MENJ
So, what about this portion: compared with the next quote. Thats what Im focusing on. I mean, its still stating that jews and christians are evildoers, which is my point. Nice try menj1980 , try again next time. Your defense is inadequate and not proven. EDIT: I didn't take that scripture out of context, it is its own topic.
Sigh....some people. See? Different contexts. Now you may want to polemicise why Islam is so harsh on the Jews and Christians by calling them "evildoers" and "enemies of Islam" (with regard to doctrine, I might add), but that is for a different discussion and unrelated to your issue. - MENJ
Yes they are the commentary, the orthodox understanding of the verses, and its not my problem if you don't understand simple English. - MENJ
His commentary is like double-speak, on the 2:62 one, it doesn't even look like its talking about the same scripture were talking about. However, the 5:51 one does look pretty right on. Besides, this commentary: infact contridicts this commentary: One scripture is harsh, but the other is saying that even if you are a jew or christian, you recieve eternal happiness? I'm just not seeing how that commentary on 2:62 is describing that actual scripture itsself. I guess I need a little more guidance? hehehe. maybe you care to explain how you interpret it?
Yeah the Zionists are infidels. You have a problem with that? I have nothing whatsoever with the Jewish people however. Not all Zionists are Jews and not all Jews are Zionists. - MENJ
Rest assured that it is from the same commentary on the same Scripture. Sigh...fine, I'll get more commentaries on it. When I have the time. - MENJ
