I bought this site a while back for $400. I am willing to take a loss here so BIN is only $300.

The site has traffic. I don't advertise or even update the content at all it just sits there and gets 150 to 200+ uniques per day.



It has made only 1 or 2 dollars this month so far because I only have my Yahoo ads on the homepage. If you look at any of the content pages all those ads don't belong to me. I just bought the site and never updated the ads except on the homepage.

Yahoo clicks are good. Lowest click I got was $0.10 and that was only once. Highest I got was $0.95 so far this month October. Site made $12.59 in September. If you put ads on every page and start adding content you can make a LOT more.

How many total page views did it have in Spetember, and do you have stats before that, and for first week of October?

 

It's really a broad mix of MSN (mainly MSN) yahoo, google search and all those text/banner links I have on the site. Those are link exchanges and those sites all send a trickle of traffic each day that ads up.

If you build this site up and send them more traffic they'll send you more traffic.

Is there a CMS? Does the site use templates/includes (ie update one file to update all the right bar ads).

I will give the new owner all of the code for what I've done so far but it's not finished and has no admin yet. But the image and game submit systems work and the voting system is fully functional for the images.

Not looking for offers. $300 is my BIN as the site gets close to and over 200 visitors per day on it's own and has a great domain name.

How is this site getting a 4000 rank on alexa? when i go and view the results on alexa it says the url is Traffic Rank for rutgers.edu

Yah i actually use the alexa browser and just clicked the rank up at the top. Go to alexa and look up your domain name. Also it shows here on this site too. (at the bottom)

Well no matter what the alexa rank is I assure you it only get around 200 uniques per day lol

I did a archive.org search and from 2000 to 2002 it was just a 1 page text message. So unless it was hosted on a rutgers IP or something I have no idea. I'm sure it'll go back to normal stats once you start promoting it.

 

If anything the new owner could take this domain with traffic already coming to it and install a humor script on it and make real money.

I have one offer via PM but it's just under BIN so I'm considering it.
