You are right and we are very loyal to our PPD affiliates... This is why we include them in the promo! I don't know what you guys are complaining about If you are on PPD and you get a sale, you still benefit from the promo!

Same here. This is the best way to deal with the problem.

I completely agree (this is why loss leaders are used) except my point was in reference to the promos. There is a difference between being loyal to affiliates and overpaying for download traffic. The promos are designed to mold better affiliates. FSn is already quite generous in their PPD plan, raising those incentives in promos is not very cost effective and would not help them in training affiliates.

Is there really a way to make it so only a premium member can download a file under 400mb? If not please implement that, I believe I would be able sell quite a few subscriptions. If already exists how do I do it?

 

Oh right, I totally agree. The $2/sale promo was equally beneficial to ppd and pps users alike. Same with the $5/sale weekend they had a while back. At the moment I am on ppd and have went back and forth a few times since I started using FsN (about a month or so before they switched from sharingmatrix) and as a ppd user I have no problems with how these promos have been run.

Oh I wasn't complaining at all Hish, just pointing out that ppd affs. are important as well. It seems some people posting here were trying to say otherwise.

As a ppd user most days I feel like I outperform my sales (hard to judge not knowing how big each sale is, since I am ppd) but some days I get big sales numbers and go, "Wow, FSN made a killing on me today!" It is all part of the game.

 

Have you ever tried to go on PPS for a week or so? I see that you get a few sales a day... It is definitely worth trying it!

Many people were afraid to try it, but when they did, they discovered the money they were missing everyday!

Two questions anybody can reply.

1)How much i need to earn to convert money on premium?
2)Can i remote upload from filesonic on filesonic,also i wont to ask can i remote upload from other sites like fileserve etc.I buy premium on hotfile but hotfile dont allow remote upload fuckin freaks .

 

doing a little research on my own stats, I really don't know which option to take. Looking back to Nov 1 I think I would have made a little more on pps, but I can't be entirely sure since I don't know how many were 1 month vs 3 month vs 1 year sales.

so I don't know how much more it would have been and I know I like the piece of mind of knowing that there wont be $0 days on ppd.

 

1) once you have $5 in earnings you will be able to convert to premium
2) Yes you can RU from FsN to FsN as long as you have that premium. Also I think there is a way to RU from hotfile, but I'm not positive. Try to search this thread as I think it was posted before. I know depositfiles RU's well to FsN, thats what I usually do when I RU.

Tnx for quick answer.I try many times to remote upload from hotfile on filesonic,fileserve etc but hotfile disable remote upload and you cant remote upload anything on other hosters.Hotfile is now even worse then rapidshare it is dead They still pay but you can't earn anything without RU.

 

Password protect your files and offer to email the password to premium users. One caveat: Most downloaders are going to think you're an a$$hole if you do this and I wouldn't disagree.

In the long run, I think you'll find requiring premium membership to download any of your files will be a discouragement. It will actually lead to less sales rather than more as most downloaders will simply ignore your posts once they have been frustrated from downloading a couple times. You're going to find more sales are related to convenience (parallel downloads, increased speed, no wait time, etc.) than compulsion (buy a premium or look elsewhere for my content). Give your downloaders a steady supply of quality files and you will sell premiums regardless of whether FSn cuts off free downloads at 4mb, 400mb or 4gb.

 

and how do you prove that im a leecher, im am just weighting things for both parties and not just thinking of my self. dont you notice they dont comment on the issue regarding fsc-fsc ru. even you shout here to death they will not comment because they are not the one deciding it.

have you though of what is fsc-fsc ru advantage to filesonic? have you tried HF before during their startup and become stable.

unique content? why are you going to upload your own amateur videos or you own "hello world" software or your own "how to" ebook. there is no such thing as unique content in the internet

 

Having trouble accessing my sub-folders right now. Anyone else? When I try to open the little + box on a folder the whole thing collapses into the My Files + mark. Then I open it back up and try to get to the sub-folder again and same thing happens.

 

True, but doesn't this fact make the call to ban FSn-FSn RU a bit silly? I'm not saying I like it myself as it happens frequently to me, but it is a bit funny when pirates complain about folk "stealing" their booty.

BTW: I'm addressing this comment to the discussion in general, not to Dream*Walker who has not been "complaining about his stolen booty". ;-)

 

LOL My booty used to get stolen all the time. Some asshole started posting what I was posting on another forum I didn't know about. I got an infraction at the second forum once I started posting there because the amateur photosets I was posting were apparently duplicates. Since then I started watermarking almost everything I post. It's a bitch but it has to be done.
