are you about to block filesonic to filesonic remote upload ?

 

please give us an option to allow or block filesonic to filesonic remote upload, because this feature is very risky to all faithful uploaders.

currently only way to prevent this is by password protecting the files, but this will limit premium sales as premium users will not be able to download directly.

 

this is a difficult decision to make and its not for their advantage, filesonic to filesonic remote upload helps them to have more sales bec more and more chances of selling of accounts for a certain files.

ex: 1 certain file was uploaded and posted to 10 forums, and 5 more remote upload them and posted to other 10 forums each, so this file was posted to 60 different forums and have the chance of more sales. for a new filehost like filesonic it needs more and more files even identicals but being posted to different forums. even my files are being remote uploaded to filesonic also but what can i do its filesonic prerogative to make it that way in order to protect their interest.

Any person can not claim that he is the original uploader of the movie unless he bought the movie, ripped it and upload it. You can not call urself as original uploader bec you just downloaded the movie and ftp/web upload the movie again. i remember someone claimed that someone is leeching his original uploads. is that really your original upload. We dont even have the copyright of these materials why are we angry when someone leech our files. Only the copyright owner has the right to get angry

do you remember when HF is just starting, all remote uploads are open because they have the hardware to support it and when they have enough customers they close it bec they can live with the current account renewals and contents of their servers.

 

I also would like to blocked this possibility.

 

Using this filesonic to filesonic remote upload feature, new members can earn easily via downloads or sales simply by leeching others filesonic users files without even uploading a single file. this will benefit those users who do not have time or bandwidth to spare while reducing the no of contents available on filesonic, also reduces real uploaders motivation to release more...

 

I Had the same Error! I Cant do Remote Upload MU to FileSonic.

 

blocking this feature is not hish or IT decision, its management decision to make. these persons are just employees of filesonic so they can not decide on this. why dont you use those leechers for your own advantage so even they took your "original uploads" you can still benefit from them.

btw if you get dissapointed by this leechers, your loosing money

 

does people who leech and repost others content with screen cap get caught by the forums and then banned?or i just have to watch out and report these users?

to be frank, you are talking like a leecher yourself. what if i upload unique content which are very hard to find, or those made or created by me and others simply leech. then where is my motive to create or post more such stuff?

you dont need to talk for hish or IT and decide what they can or cannot do. its up to them say that! whatever they decide am fine with it.

 

But FileSonic earns no money from downloads. The PPD program is a loss leader to begin with, you cannot blame them for pushing sales with their promos. After all, these are bonuses.

 

Yep, such FSn to FSn leeching sucks, but eliminating FSn to FSn RU will not solve the problem unless they block all RU from FSn. It would be just as easy to RU the file to a second host and then RU back to FSn for such leechers. True, these types of users suck, but they are part of the system unfortunately and there is no easy way to cut them off.

 

With the holiday week and a bit of hunting last week, I have been gone for a bit. Just want to give some props to Hish and FSn-IT for the new stats module. I wouldn't use this every day but it is a great feature. I appreciate that you left both options as the basic stats report is what I would use daily, but then I would still have the option to explore the expanded stats once or twice a week.

Nice promo last week as well. Too bad I was on autopilot.

I hate when people are too lazy to make their own screen caps after FsN to FsN RU'ing my files. I agree with the guy that said why be mad? Its not like you actually own the files.

Anyway I've taken measures over the last few weeks to stop people from doing this to my files, or if they do they will be advertising for me.


1 more thing, people saying that the ppd doesn't help FSN at all is totally wrong. Of course they get no direct pay from each download, but the more links there are out there the more sales they will ultimately get. It pays for them to also stay loyal to their PPD affiliates because more FsN links in the world = a good thing.
