Have You Ever Purchased Backlinks?

I wanted to know if anyone here has ever purchased backlinks. If so, who did you purchase them from and what was your experience with doing so?

 

I bought forum signatures before, it can be considered as backlinks too. It was great to get some extra traffic, not sure about SEO, wasn't really bother about SEO back then..

I was in the same situation as you - I wanted to buy backlinks but decided not to - its so much better and easier just to dedicate a half hour a day to find your niche related blogs and just guest post on them - I have been doing this + forum posting and I am already at 2,000+backlinks.

It also helps to find some do follow blogs and post on there as well - in time you will build an incredible amount of backlinks

 

purchasing links is too risky.. according to google buying and selling links that pass PR is against google guidelines..

You are better just hiring someone to do some basic SEO for you, like link building.

I have purchased some link packages from people on the forums and have found they made a difference to my rankings.

I don't purchase links. There are lots of quality websites where you can get backlinks for free. You just need to exert effort and spend time in building links.

 

It is nearly impossible to compete in highly competitive niches without buying backlinks. Buying links can certainly be effective, but you must do it privately between you and the webmaster so you have total control over how the link will appear.

 

I choose to build the links myself instead of buying them. If you really consider to buy links, make sure the links you buy is quality links.

 

I avoid buying sitewide blogroll links for any of my new domains as the sudden influx of links could sandbox my domain. However i do buy signature links for direct traffic purposes for some of my affiliate/referral links.

No. Apart that it is against Google guidelines, I checked the ROI (Return On Investment) for such links and it was lousy in the vast majority of cases.
