Hi guys As we know, Amazon has a very low affiliate commision rate. To increase it, we need to make a sale in a certain amount. Just for example, we need to make 7 sales to make 4% rate to 6%. I'm curious about this trick to increase amazon commision rate. Buy a things through our own affiliate link Is it allowed by Amazon? Is it work?
You are not allowed to buy items from your own store. Amazon will just take the commision. Once you get a few amazons stores up and making sales. Its easy to get to 6 to 8%. Build a few sites with low price items that sell a lot. So some days easily can get 25 to 30 sales and all that ads up. Just work hard and amazon can pay off.
Even if they allowed it, how many items would you buy to really push up your commission rate every month? I don't really bother wondering about making commission on my own purchases.
I just count the difference between my commision in 6,5% and 7%. There is quite much difference, so i think it would be great idea if i can buy some cheap things to increase my commision rate. Anyway, how amazon now if i buy through my own affiliate link? I can just use another address (address of my friend)
They detect by your address, your name, your ip address etc. The orders will show up initially but be removed at a later stage. If your friend buys for you, I mean on another computer entirely, at a different location and to a different address, then you will probably get away with it. But it could look suspicious if there is a pattern to it.
You could use @freshdevelopment's idea - get a friend to buy using your link and give the cash to them. That way you get the commission and the product. Good luck
Haha, or to play safe, i just ask my friend on India or US to buy the things for me. I will return back his money via PP or something. But let's see...if i can reach 7% without this trick, i'm more happy I just need to sell 30 more items to increase my commision rate to 7% Go Go Go...!!!
In case i still have a doubt, i would not using that way...too risky, as many member said... Don't worry, i'm not serious about this. I'm just curious
You won't get banned if someone from other countries keeps on buying products..But how can someone from India buy on amazon.com? I wouldn't do it because it seems useless but again, I doubt they'd know it..I have people that keep on shopping from my link, for months. No probs.
In the long run does it really make a difference? Better to spend the money and time on driving traffic and let other people buy the products.
Yeah... you'd better focus on generating more leads. Not only is that safer and more efficient, but you'll also increase your profits! Don't be a slacker.
check this out: https://affiliate-program.amazon.co...&%5Fencoding=UTF8&ref=amb%5Flink%5F180161%5F5 i think you won't be banned, but you don't get any comission for your order
Just do the f*cking work and you'll get to 6% or higher in no time. If you can't make 7 or more sales in a month you have problems.
In time and with hard work you will get up to 7.5 and 8%. I found that when I stopped focusing on selling higher priced items and started selling cheaper items I started seeing a lot more sales. Today is the 12 and I am up to 7.5. Now if someone buys something expensive it will be a nice commission.
You can't buy through your own direct link and get paid, but I you do Squidoo, you could buy through an Amazon module and get commision. You would have to split it with Squidoo but it would still be like 4%. I usually just by from a friend or a fellow amazon affiliate and help them out.
This is a great tip, I can't believe I didn't think of this before Actually do Squidoo pay your amazon earnings directly or do you put your own tag in?
With Squidoo you can use the Amazon module split the commission with Squdioo or you can use a text module and direct link with Amazon. So it is up to you. So when you use an Amazon module you get paid through Squidoo. When you direct link you get paid through Amazon.
