I have moved from Joomla to wordpress and I feel that wordpress is way better than any other content management system on the planet. It is not only good for seo but also is just so easy to handle. I want to know which sitemap generator plugin works best for you?
i use a custom code to display a user friendly sitemap (via wordpress hooks like wp_list_pages, categorys, etc) for the xml i usually just use the main xml sitemap website. I did use the plugin for a while, but got really annoyed with how it slows down the site whe you try to post content, and the never ending "out of memory errors" most people experiance. dont get me wrong its a great pluign, but i prefer to do it manually. write now im working on a custom script to include in my plugin "Quick Site Setup" which will redirect sitemap.xml requests to a php script that produces a sitemap. i think this , for me will be better and may work out good for some other people. if you want to see what my plugin does already visit the WSO on the warrior forum, just search for Quick Site Setup Plugin. sorry dont want to post links as im a new member and dont want to seem spammy.
Google XML sitemap is awesome for bot engines but ugly for people If your are going to plan for on-page sitemap then give a try to "simple sitemap Plugin"
